If you are considering using this outfit to do any work in your house: Don’t.
Here is a company that has a shiny façade and smooth talking front people, but behind that lurk endless problems.
Promises of using only carefully vetted and carefully selected tradespeople experienced enough for the job at hand turned out to be a fiction. Promises of carefully managing the project to fit new bathrooms were never properly realised. Saying they would have the foreman of the team chosen for the work come out and do an inspection pre starting date to check the plans were sound and there were no unexpected issues never happened (with serious consequences). Assurances they would carry out the work to a reasonable fixed timescale with minimal disruption was a myth.
The result: work that was due to start in May last year is still not complete in March this year. The ‘very best subcontractors’ they promised turned out to be a bunch of uncoordinated, random, tradespeople, definitely not up to the job at hand – with a couple of exceptions. Demanding the full 100% costs had to be paid before work could start, using our house as a storage depot rather their warehouse were just the start.
Work packages were done in the wrong order, so work had to be undone and then redone – sometimes several times. Work was often substandard so had to be redone. We were left without plumbing for whole days at a time. Toilets were ‘connected’ with leaks. Hot and cold pipes were mixed up. Doors were left not closing. The main subcontractor was from Sunderland who it turns out has had compulsory strike-offs – so much for the reassurance that we would have carefully vetted and managed contractors. He repeatedly turned up late, failed to turn up at all for days on end, took unannounced holidays in the middle of the job, often simply did not reply to phone calls and texts, and gave flimsy or no reasons for any of this. His was not a bathroom and plumbing business, a lot of the time it was just calling in this and that contractor without any coherent plan about where, when and how work was to be done.
Attempts to have the Bathroom Studios alleged project managers sort out this mess produced little improvement. Their usual response was ‘we’ll fix that right away, you’ll hear back tomorrow at the latest’. Only for days, weeks, or no reply at all despite repeated prompting. They were happy to let things string along, content in the knowledge they had all their money from the start (should have smelled a rat when they insisted on that!) and didn’t need to do anything further.
If we catalogued all the negatives about the Bathroom Studios and their sub and sub-subcontractors this review would stretch to pages long. Don’t have yourself end up with such a list: Avoid this outfit at all costs.

Bathrooms NE installed 2 bathrooms for a few years ago, we recently started to have problems with the shower and when this was investigated by an electrician we were told that the shower had not been installed properly and was dangerous. I messaged Michelle on 2 occasions and got no response at all and eventually had to have the work repaired at my own expense. When I confronted Michelle about this she acknowledged that she had ignored my contact and refused any responsibility at all. They are rude, incompetent, install dangerously and have absolutely no aftercare at all. For your own sake go to someone else instead.

Called into studio to buy item on display and offered deposit. Advised do not take payments in store and would need to email me an invoice for a deposit to be taken a bank transfer (odd). I never received email and when chased advised they were not ready to sell item yet but would keep my name against t. Item now disappeared from display and I have had no contact. I don’t think this is a business that actually want to offer stoner service or sell anything. I having read the other reviews I would now avoid.

Sold us some cabinets and sinks from display, every time we arranged to collect they made an excuse as to why we couldn't, they then agreed to deliver due to the inconvenience they had caused. They never did, so went into the store and sure enough they had sold the items to someone else, no doubt for a higher price and were just hoping we would give up.

You may get a decent bathroom, you might not, but I wouldn't trust their word.

I discovered the person selling us a bathroom, which we had already designed, had no particular knowledge or understanding of bathrooms or how they were wired or plumbed and in their defence they explained they studied graphics - in other words they know how to draw a nice bathroom. Sadly i discovered this too late. I also discovered that when they say they have someone who will work in our area they mean someone from far the other side of them who bankrupted their sub contracting company the previous year with debts of over £100k including to several plumbing supplies companies and £35k to HMRC (Ian Borthwick PHS Ltd). Borthwick did our fit as Borthwicks PHS Ltd a new company he set up 3 months before the other went bust. Asked how they vet their subcontractors the Bathroom Studio told me they had done this and that he is a long term collaborator and trusted family friend. Well after 3 months and 3 attempt to make an ideal standard cistern flush correctly (ideal even sent him a complete replacement cistern) the ideal engineer came (after I contacted ideal) and it turned out that Mr Borthwick did not fit the mechanism correctly, nor had he fitted the seat correctly. While the engineer was there i borrowed a spanner to fix the leak on the fixed shower head which also needed an extra washer. through all this the studio stood much on the sidelines, they defended their subcontractor against my complaints, rather than dealing with him for me. A couple of times they said they would come to site but they never did - they said it would mean "time out of the business" leaving me wondering what business they are in if it is not the business of fitting my bathroom. Obviously I will never use The Bathroom Studio Ne Ltd or Mr Borthwick or any company of his again. I have left out most of the 18 items of snagging from the point where the Studio thought my bathroom was complete for the sake of brevity.
Added note: Within a year the shower cubicle is leaking and it appears that the frames fitting this to the wall are reversed left right so that the fixings are indie rather than outside the cubicle... this has led to rusty screws behind a loose trim in the cubicle and a column of water that has eventually found its way out! If I could remove the one star I would.

Only interested in selling the equipment. Pass the work to poor installers called Collingwood Plumbing Services. Be careful both will invoice to split the responsibility.
I now have a tiled floor that lifted after 4 years they quote 1yr guarantee and suggest the house has shifted. ( Not true) Not prepared to take any action. Very poor service and No aftercare. Didn't even offer to repair at a cost. They were not interested in resolving.

Be very careful employing these businesses.

We had a good experience with the original design and installation work from Bathroom Studio, but when a problem occurred it took far too long to be resolved and resulted in a lot of unnecessary stress. Many wasted days were taken off work waiting for fitters who never arrived and it eventually took nine weeks to fix something that only took a few hours work, albeit spread over a full week.

We paid approx 9k for a bathroom. Sink, bath and shower all unusable. This company blame the fitter, won't lift a finger and are rude to my wife about it. An independent inspection says the work their team did was dangerous. They deny any responsibility. Cowboys. Avoid.
