placed a birthday order for a friend of 40 yrs and I hosed up the online info. went back and tied 2 days to get the order to go thu. Finally decided to call and got a super helpful guy who redid the entire order and got a confirmation email minutes later. This customer service guy not only redid my order but explained what I did to hose the order. Problem solved.
I ordered a bottle of scotch from them 1 1/2 weeks ago and promptly cancelled the order 30 minutes later due to circumstances that it was not something that was liked.
They ignored my email and shipped it a week later. I called them and was told that they do not allow for cancellations, even though I had quickly cancelled it 30 minutes after ordering and they waited a week plus to ship!
This is a joke and I disputed the charge to my credit card company but what kind of service is this that does not allow cancellation before shipping? Crazy BAD SERVICE.
They say they have over 3000 5-star reviews but what they don’t say is 15,000 1 star ones. AVOID them!
My daughter is stationed in California meanwhile I’m here in Georgia. She suggested this store. For months I’ve been trying to locate Sir Davis by Beyoncé, which is always out of stock here in Georgia. The Barrel Tap had plenty & shipped out right away. The reason I’m giving this place 10 stars is because there was an issue with my order, no fault of theirs to be clear, but I emailed, got a quick response and together a resolution was reached. Totally unexpected to me, but the customer service & speediness of it all warmed my spirit. Made me really feel like I mattered! I know one thing, they have gained a loyal customer. I was sharing with my colleagues so I’m sure they will patronize as well! Thank you Barrel Tap for valuing a customer even from thousands of miles away!
Horrible experience I bought a very expensive bottle of clase azul! Packaging was horrible bottle was broken and halfway empty! They didn’t want to exchange it or give me my money back! It’s a SCAM don’t buy from there!!!
I recently purchased a rare and hard-to-obtain bottle of Crown Royal Reserve (12 Years) from The Barrel Tap. I was excited to finally find this collectible at a reasonable price, as it’s difficult to acquire. However, I was extremely disappointed with the way the product was packed. The box was poorly protected during shipping, resulting in significant damage to the original packaging. This is particularly frustrating as the collectible value of the item is now greatly diminished due to the ruined packaging.
As a collector, the condition of the original packaging is crucial to maintaining the value of the item. I immediately emailed the company to express my concerns about this issue and also mentioned that I have another pending order with them. I requested they send replacement boxes for the damaged products and ensure that my upcoming shipment would be packed with better care. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive any response from the company regarding my concerns, which is disappointing given the nature of this collectible item and the fact that I am a repeat customer.
I truly hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves their packaging practices to protect the value of such items in the future. While the product itself was a good find, the lack of proper customer service and care in packing has left me reconsidering future purchases. If the second shipment is not properly done, I will dispute the transactions given their customer service doesn’t respond. I wouldn’t recommend this company if you intend to collect the products as commodities until they increase in value.
I placed an order for 2 bottles of Willett 8yr Wheated over the weekend. Received a confirmation email Monday morning stating my item would be delivered in 4 day. My items made it in Friday evening packaged nicely and in great shape. I would order from them again.
Placed an order for $313. I never received my order. I have called and spoken to someone twice who assured me they would handle. They never did. I sent an email asking for a refund. Never received that either. They are a scam. Stay away from THE BARREL TAP

On Monday August 26, 2024 I ordered 3 bottles of Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year Old Bourbon. On Tuesday September 3, 2024 I received my order intact and well packaged. I was notified of all shipping updates and the order was delivered on the date and time that it was scheduled. Well done...
My bottle of expensive whiskey arrived smelling Ike whiskey the box was wet and when I opened the box the top was off the botttleand the whiskey was all gone out the bottle and all over the box it came in. Almost three hundred dollars down the drain

I ordered a bottle of George Strait Origen Codigo 1530 . Online it shows a very distinct bottle George Strait and distinct box. What I got was a Codigo box and a bottle with the state of California and a bear on it. I sent them a picture of what they sent me and their response was “ it’s the same juice “ in a special bottle. I can buy “the same juice “ anywhere. Apparently they have no intention of replacing their mistake and I paid $400.00 for what I can get for half price.

Order shipped quickly, and arrived via UPS exactly when they said it would. Every bottle was individually nested in a thick specialty bubbled envelope, and there was lots of padding in the box. Everything was very well secured. Will definitely be buying from these guys again!!

Like others here, I had an order shipped that then ended up reported by UPS as "damaged" and not delivered. I contacted Barrel Tap and was assured a replacement order was on its way. I have not received any tracking info or response in 2 weeks. I ordered from them once before and it was fine. I now have no coaches gifts for the season end. Terrible.
Recieved my order of 4 Crown Royal Salted Caramel right on time and in good condition. The packaging was great. Worked great because its limited in availability in my area and thebarreltap had it available no problem.
Had a question about my order and was able to use the chat feature on the website to get in contact with them. Great experience.
Never got my order. UPS paid claim to barrel tap. Now they won’t respond to me. Have my money and ups claim! Stay away.

I ordered from Barrel Tap this week - a Blanton's Red and the Buffalo Trace Kosher collection - everything came very well packaged and in great shape via UPS, although the shipping box did have a dinged corner. The timing of the shipping was within the 3-5 day window (it came on day 4).
I was a little leery after reading a several negative reviews (after I had placed the order), but my experience was great, so perhaps it is simply people who had negative experiences posting here. I got a confirmation email and a tracking number for the shipment within 24 hours and an email confirming delivery when it arrived (I am pointing it out this since some reviews mentioned a lack of communication - again, not my experience at all). I will definitely order from them again.
I ordered one bottle of Colonel E.H. Taylor and two bottles of Traveller Blend No. 40 way back on 1/14/24. I have sent several emails and they have responded saying that the bottle of E.H. Taylor was damaged and they were sending out another one. Unfortunately they have not sent anything that I ordered and now they will not answer any of my emails. I don't have an updated tracking number and I have not received anything that I ordered. The barrel tap website is a scam and took my money and will no longer communicate with me.
