I thcught I was receiving a trademark brandname product. Felt like this was a conveyor belt cheaper imitation.
Slightly disappointed as I did think I was receiving a trademark product and the packaging indicates a mass produced cheaper version. Am giving it a go but not as good as my original cushion which I bought in a back care specialist shop and unfortunately lost.. Morale of the story - better to see before you buy sometimes!!

Many years ago this popular lumbar support came in just one variant - Standard Foam.
Later a Visco version was added. Both had a Velour Cover.
Some years ago the manufacturer updated the designs to include a different type of cover which has more stretch and better ventilation. Packaging was reduced to be more environmentally friendly.
We are so sorry this product has disappointed but we should remind online customers that we offer 14 days to return a product for any reason as long as it is in satisfactory condition.
We will also be checking our stock to see if by any chance we can find one of the 'original' lumbar supports with the Velour Cover.
Super service, speedy delivery
I already had high expectations of the Back Friend as my father in law had one 20 years ago. I ordered a double padded and it's fab! It came within a few days too! Really pleased with the service provided.

5 star support!!!
I bought the backfriend for my son who has had back problems for many years. His immediate reaction after using it in his car and at work for just one day was "Why did I not Know about this sooner?" Everyone in his office wants one. We are delighted both at the relief he has experienced and at the speedy service. Ordered Sunday processed Monday and delivered Tuesday morning. You can't get better than that.
Excellent service all round. Thank you from myself and my son.

wedge cushion brilliant, neck cushion useless
The wedge cushion is just what I needed for playing the viola on a plastic seat at rehearsal-thank you!
The neck rest does not really do the job for making my stiff neck more comfy on a plane. I sit in the aisle as I have long legs and would have preferred it to be symmetrical. I think this would be OK for leaning against the window but it is not good for sitting in the aisle.
Delivery excellent and quick.

Wide range of products, on easy to use, secure web site, with prompt delivery and excellent customer support.
I would be happy to recommend The Back Shop to others. The website is well laid out. There is a very secure payment system. A wide range of goods are available. Delivery is prompt with goods well packaged to ensure they arrive in good condition. For those not so computer savvy orders and payment can be made over the phone.
I would be happy to recommend The Back Shop to my best friend o close family member.

Excellent service.
Very impressed with the speedy delivery as ordered on a Sunday evening. Delivered by Tuesday with a 1hr slot time of estimated arrival. Packaged well and to top it all off I am over the moon with my product......COMFY at last.

this is not for me
I am 6 feet tall and 14 stone, and this chair is just too small, yet nowhere in the blurb did it suggest that this very expensive chair is only suitable for small people. It has been waiting for my daughter to help in the assembling yesterday and on monday I shall contact the back company to express my disappointment and hope to return it. with a refund!

We have sold this chair in our stores for more than 20 years and visitors to our stores of heights up to 6'5" frequently choose this chair after considering all the options. It has the advantage that it allows a tall person to use a standard height table and it gives them constant gentle movement.
One of our staff, and Alexander teacher of substantially higher than 6 foot is a passionate supporter of the use of this chair for tall people.
This explains why we do not suggest this chair is for a particular height of person. In fact, it is one of the few chairs that allow people of very mixed heights to share the same height table.
We would encourage any user, if at all possible, to visit one of our stores and try each of the chairs and to receive training in its use but in an increasingly busy and online world we realise that many people cannot achieve this.
Having explained this we will of course be contacting this customer to explain that he is within our 14 day return period and offering him the chance to receive training in its use, an exchange, or a full refund.
P.S. In this instance this is the first contact we have had from this customer. We will be arranging for our Alexander Teacher to call this customer on Tuesday.
Excellent service
Very surprised to receive delivery so quickly after my order and very pleased with the purchase I made, I think I can sleep anywhere with my new neck rest.
