[ALERT] Inventory Attrition and Unprofessional Conduct - $1,100+ Ledger Risk
I am sharing this as a cautionary tale for anyone spending significant money on pre-orders or exclusive covers. Up until today, I was a high-volume customer with an open ledger exceeding $1,100 and a $120/month Patreon supporter of this shop.
Given my professional background in logistics and inventory management, I noticed severe bottlenecks in my account. Specifically, this shop was holding years-old back issues—such as Hulk #4 (2022) and Wonder Woman #1 (2023)—hostage while waiting for pre-orders with late 2026 release dates.
This policy creates a massive inventory risk for the buyer. My concerns were recently validated when a ratio variant I had "secured" was later cancelled because they were actually out of stock. Furthermore, while they held my pre-paid items unfulfilled, they were actively selling those same items for a lower price on their eBay store.
To resolve this, I explicitly offered to pay for split-shipping out of my own pocket to secure my assets. Instead of a professional resolution, the owner, John Leone, had a complete meltdown. He sent multiple hostile emails calling me "idiotic" and "problematic" and stated, "it would be helpful if you could at least f***ing read."
I have since cancelled my entire $1,153.82 ledger. If you are a high-volume collector, be warned: your capital is treated as an interest-free loan, and your "in-stock" books are at risk of being sold out from under you while you wait years for fulfillment.
