We wanted to take out life insurance and income protection due to buying our first home. Stephen couldn't have been more helpful. We have a lot of pre existing conditions and Stephen worked with us to find the right policy for us. He has been really responsive to emails asking questions or to ask him to get on touch via the phone at a suitable time.

We were recommended to use The Insurance Surgery by our mortgage advisor and I'm so glad she put us on to them. We haven't been disappointed and know that if we do have any questions, Stephen has said he will still be happy to help in any way he can.

I recently secured life cover through The Insurance Surgery, and I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough, especially Neil Cameron, who supported me throughout the entire process.

I have a complex medical history, including Transposition of the Great Arteries, so finding suitable life cover has never been straightforward. From the very beginning, Neil was incredibly patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. He gave me the time, support, and honest advice I needed without ever making me feel pressured or rushed.

What really stood out was how compassionate and reassuring he was during what can be quite an emotional and stressful process to navigate through. He took the time to fully understand my situation and worked hard to help me secure cover that I genuinely wasn’t sure I’d be able to get.

Instead of entering endless lines of information and trying to answer some highly ambiguous questions, having someone to talk you through the application is extremely helpful. The broker made the process much clearer and less stressful. I’d definitely recommend this service to anyone.

He also very helpfully stayed in touch with me (checking in every year for three years!) and helped me get better cover when that became possible. He was patient and honest, and allowed me to be honest too!

Overall, I had a good experience with Insurance Surgery. Tom was really helpful, explored multiple options, and shared competitive quotes to help me choose the right Relevant Life Insurance policy.

However, there was an issue with incorrect spelling of names, which was unfortunately submitted to the insurer. This has turned into a frustrating process to correct. Although the insurer has confirmed updates, the online portal still shows incorrect details.

Tom has been proactive and supportive in following up with the insurer, which I appreciate. That said, the errors originated during the initial process, and it highlights a gap. If there were an online portal where customers could enter and review their own details instead of relying on phone communication, this issue could likely have been avoided.

In summary, good service and support overall, but the admin accuracy and process could definitely be improved.
