The sales team were very professional…
The sales team were very professional and a delight to deal with. The presentation by David was first class and every question was answered to my satisfaction. We are very interested in buying one of the larger homes in particular one of the customised ones and considering all of our options at the moment.

Staff were very enthusiastic, professional and friendly both in the visitor centre and in the sale room. We love the whole concept of the new village beeing built. The visitor centre was very well done.

Extremely helpful lady
Extremely helpful lady, gave me all the information about the site and showed me round the 3 bed show home, which is beautifully appointed but the size of the first floor sitting room is disappointingly small.
It was only after I left that I realised I had kept her way past closing time.

Overpriced & Underwhelmed
The houses are vastly overpriced (even for a newbuild). Small rooms, not enough parking, and a very rose-tinted view of how the 'utopia' will run in real life. The whole Welborne development has a vision somewhere between The Stepford Wives and The Truman Show, and the Thakeham homes are part of the plot.
Salesperson couldn't answer many of the questions posed (and they admitted they don't normally work there).
Quality is OK (not the 'exceptional' they claim) especially in the showhome kitchen (where I would expect them to showcase), and the Victorian sash uPVC windows are highly impractical. Lots of additional promises of new village centre and amenities, but the frankly Victorian restrictions on who can fill the stores will (in my opinion) lead to empty shops and another ghost town syndrome.
There is little value for money, so I won't be investing my hard-earned here...

Kelly made us feel very welcome
Kelly made us feel very welcome. Cup of tea and shortbread and smart reception area appreciated after sitting in congestion on M27. Showhouse impressive as is the Development and as well as Thakeham info, Kelly sent us to the Welcome centre for the whole project where you get a better picture of the overall Garden Village. A very exciting project and good quality housing.
