Ship what was ordered NOT what they have laying around because it looks similar.
I ordered an:
HP "EliteDesk" 800 G4
NOT an:
HP "ProDesk" 600 G4.

I purchased a Dell 5850 because I like the position of the power port. I tried to set it up, and it kept shutting down and restarting over and over again. Considering this was the second refurbished laptop I purchased from Amazon that kept shutting down and restarting, I decided to look closer at that order as well. Sure enough, that computer was from tekrefurbs.com as well.

I ordered a Dell Optiplex 7070 through Amazon with this company back on May 20th of last year (2025). In the beginning of March of this year (2026) I came home and my computer was completely off. When I turned it on it started beeping really loud and then went to a prompt screen. I selected to run a diagnostics test. It came back with a code 141. This was explained on the Dell website as a bad hard drive. I reached out to this company (tekrefurbs) about my issue, looking for advice on what to do. Their response was that I was out of the warranty window and to contact Amazon. I explained that I was prepared to pay for the repair but was looking for advice not a warranty update. No response. I then decided to have it repaired locally. I ordered the upgrade ahead of time to save time and money. When the part arrived and the PC was opened it was found that I didn't even receive the PC I ordered. It was infact the Precision 3630 which 10 years older than the one I paid for. I then reached out to Amazon and explained the situation. They told me there was nothing they could do and to contact the seller. I did that as well and still no answer. I have now been without a computer for 2 months and am going to have to pay for another one. Waste of money dealing with both this company and Amazon. I am ending my dealings with both as of now. Shady business practices by companies seems to be the standard these days.

Great customer support, got a free replacement as soon as the next business day when I emailed. However, both items they sent did not work. Both of them wouldn’t even turn on. This was supposed to be my first computer, but I guess not. I am incredibly pissed and will not be using tekrefucks in the future.

Review:
I ordered a Dell OLED laptop from Tekrefurbs on Amazon, listed as used – excellent condition. The OLED screen was the entire reason I paid a premium price. What I received instead was a much older, much cheaper Dell laptop with a standard LED screen, not OLED, and in fair condition at best.

This was a classic bait and switch. TekRefurbs.com advertises high-end laptops and sends low-end substitutes, hoping the buyer won’t notice or won’t fight it.

After I contacted them, Tekrefurbs refused to send the laptop they advertised and actually told me that the incorrect, beat-up LED Dell they sent was the “very best laptop” they had in their store. Hard to believe from a company that claims to operate a 50,000 sq ft warehouse of computers.

Then things got dangerous.

When I plugged in the charger they sent, the laptop immediately began overheating. When I went to unplug the USB-C charger, the metal connector fell apart and stayed lodged inside the laptop. I had to pry it out with tweezers. I sent Tekrefurbs photos of the broken charger.
Did they replace it? No.
Did they offer a replacement laptop? No.
Did they offer a refund? No.

I am disabled and live on disability income, so I had to wait until December 4th to afford a replacement charger myself. Once I finally plugged the laptop back in, it ran system updates like any “new” laptop would. I left for a short errand — about 30 minutes — and came back to find the laptop completely fried.

Worse: my wooden desk had burn marks from where the laptop overheated. This device nearly started a fire. If I hadn’t returned when I did, this could have burned my home down and potentially killed me.

I took the laptop to Fry’s Electronics, where I was told the laptop was done, destroyed, trash. (I still have it.)

Final outcome:

No refund

No replacement

No exchange

No charger

Wrong laptop

Fire hazard

Delivered one week late

Stay away from Tek Refurbs. Full stop.

I ordered 10 refurbished Dell systems for the church where I work, expecting uniform, business-class machines suitable for deployment. What I received was a bait-and-switch disaster.
Every single unit had a replacement motherboard that did not match the model sold. These were not minor revisions — they were entirely different platforms stuffed into the wrong chassis. As a result:
* BIOS updates for the advertised model cannot be applied.
* Chipset and firmware updates must be guessed and manually matched to the actual motherboard
* Dell will not provide correct drivers because the service tag no longer matches the hardware
* Systems appear functional at first glance but break in subtle, time-consuming ways (USB devices, cameras, firmware management, etc.)

Out of the box, these machines were not fit for business use. They were either unusable or required hours upon hours of deep technical troubleshooting per machine just to reach basic stability. This is completely unacceptable for equipment marketed as refurbished business desktops.

This isn’t normal refurbishment. This is Frankenstein hardware — mismatched boards, wrong firmware paths, and no supportability. If you’re not an experienced systems engineer with time to burn, these machines will waste your time, your money, and your sanity.

Tek Refurbs refused to take responsibility once the order was outside their short return window, despite the issue being hardware misrepresentation, not normal wear and tear. They were quick to copy and paste the notice about being outside the return window—which I understand—but even a basic acknowledgment or a small refund for the time wasted would have demonstrated some level of business integrity or professionalism.

If you value:
* your time
* consistent hardware
* the ability to update BIOS and drivers
* or any form of vendor accountability
Do not buy from Tek Refurbs.

Buyer Beware! This company is the king of "Bait & Switch" they advertised a super fancy desktop computer at a great deal, I should of known it was too good to be true. After 5 weeks of waiting when they said they would ship out the same week, I got my package, it looked like the computer I ordered however after checking the spec's .. it was waaaay off. After further reading of the reviews of TekRefurbs I realized they basically dumpster dive and collect used/abused electronics and "spare part" them back together. So every unit is a "MUTT" in a sense. You may have a dell desktop, with lenovo and Acer parts inside.. They advertise something awesome! yaay! , then you inspect it or worse try and turn it on.. ekkk. My desktop literally CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! The most scary part was, I had been downstairs doing laundry, my 4 year old was upstairs playing next to the computer desk that caught FIRE. Our Golden Retriever alerted me and believe it or not dragged Paisley away from the smoldering electrical fire.

They offered me $50 Amazon Gift card. Really? You need to refund me 100%, then thank the stars I don't file a suit.

I purchased a refurbished laptop from them via Amazon, the product arrived and looked in perfect condition and worked well. Later I had problems with a fan belt/noise, and the follow-up service has been attentive and responsive even though we were at the very end of the initial warranty/refund period.

TekRefurbs sold a "Refurbished Excellent Condition" computer on Amazon(dotcom). When I got the computer, it was not in excellent condition. I expected some wear when I bought it. I didn't expect it to be sent to me with a dead CMOS battery (holds settings for computer hardware) a broken bottom cover that was flapping because the screw mount was stripped out, and the keyboard was heavily used. Mouse button falls off of keyboard mouse. A film of some kind was sprayed onto the surface of the computer to make it look new(er), but it is just a mess. Bottom speaker holes screen broken, speakers filled with metal shavings! It doesn't look like anyone really inspected this computer before sending it out. While I should have just sent it right back I was working on a project and needed it.

We had problems with a computer we purchased from them from the get go. We purchased the computer on amazon.first it had a broken charger and then a broken mouse pad. Within less than a year (unfortunately outside of the return period) it started shutting down and not turning back on. We took it to the geek squad and were told it couldn't be fixed without a bios password. We contacted Tek refurbs and were told they didnt have it. We then contacted Dell and they said that this was a federal government computer and could not be accessed by someone that was not a federal employee. Why are they selling government property they know full well cannot be serviced without a password they cannot provide

This is the second computer I bought from TekRefurbs the first one about three years ago and still run like the day I received it. The only reason I bought another one is because the first one had Windows 10 Pro and will no longer be supported as of Oct 2025, so I wanted to upgrade to a Windows 11 Pro the new computer came just the other day took about thirty min to setup and it looks like brand new and works like a champ. I am happy.

They handled a problem quickly, and the refurb was very well done. I am enjoying the computer I got from them. Nice job

Can't get any help, plus the new pc is stuck and can't get it to set up.

Broke after 2 days of use, Bob, at their customer service, not concerned, no apologies, actually hung up on me. Told me tough, return if I want, supposedly is sending new video card to fix, see it sometime next week, no assist with the actual repair. Steer clear of these rip off artists.

Bought a computer from u guys a while back and are truly pleased with it. Although I had a couple issues not to mention at this time. You came through and satisfied me with a fix really fast and now I’m up and running. Thanks again and will buy again.

My experience with this company has been fantastic. I ordered a laptop through Amazon. It was delivered two days later with everything I needed. I double-checked some features with them between ordering and delivery and they responded within an hour. The laptop is so good I ordered another one for my husband but forgot to stipulate the physical size needed. When it came and was too small, I contacted them and they immediately sent me a return label at no charge. They also had a different laptop fitting my needs.
I have never had a more responsive experience with any company and I'm ancient enough to have had innumerable ones.

This company is a fraud! It doesn't hold true to the claim of good salesmanship and our laptop started falling apart within a month! We sent requests for a new battery and they never sent one. Then the mouse stopped working and can only use the center dot of keyboard to manuever the laptop. Then the top of laptop came off on one side when opening! To top it off, we purchased a guaranteed and they will not fulfill it! They procrastinate until the time runs out!

Purchased a PC and an extended 1 year warranty on July 6, 2021. Total amount was $506. Went bad after six months. Called and left a message about my problem. No return call. Sent an email explaining my problem and the fact that I had the extended warranty. They have never responded in any manner.
I understand that things break down, hence the extended warranty. Bad behavior to sell an extended warranty to make a few extra bucks and then stiff the customer. Cost me $329 to repair. I was pleased with the PC they sold me. Tekrefurbs lacks corporate integrity.
