My first TCL had nothing but problems until one day it just stopped working. My TV after that also had issues. I then decided to give TCL again, and I shouldn't have. The TV had two faults right out of the box and no one at TCL will talk to me about either issue.
TCL 50p638k Worst purchase EVER!!
I have had the TV for several months and have been suffering the slow response, out of sync sound, the freezing and the random opening of the wrong app and the subsequent restarts. I finally got in touch with the retailer and they told me they can do nothing as it is the manufacturer who hold the warranty. I called TCL and a few weeks later, a new board was sent to their engineers. Yesterday, an engineer came out to change the board. He checked various things were working but not the freeview play, and internal part of the smart TV. When he left, I found that freeview play gives me a blank screen and also iplayer, itv hub and 4 player are not supported. I called TCL this morning and was told they have to wait for the engineers report to close that job down and create a new one. He did hower seem aware of the problem and told me he could send out an hdmi freeplay view dongle, defeating the object of the smart TV. I sked him to raise a complaint, he could not. I asked to be updated of the progress of the engineers report and he told me he was too busy with other calls. Then he told me to go back to the retailer! I am now at full circle with a TV which does not do what it is supposed to. I will never but from this company again!

Revising this. The support is not very good. The TV is running slowly. I was told to reset it, I have and its still slow. I was asked to give a copy of me vat receipt which i gave. They still did not do anything. The tech department will contact me sometime.

The TV has a decent picture and better than average sound from the inbuilt speakers. Just recently subtitles have appeared on TV programmes received by the TV aerial but not on the virgin box or the streaming box that are both connected. Looked online for remedy and tried to follow, on this TV some of the options listed are missing from the menus. This is where the problem started, I tried the TCL site for support. I had already registered an account but the 'Contact Us' for help just goes round in circles asking for your information but doesn't allow you to enter any but keeps stating it is required and you get nowhere with it and are unable to lodge the question. The set was only bought in July this year but I think that I will get rid of it and get another make.

CCTV proved TCL are LIERS
Turned up with 2 year baby and said he couldn't get baby sitter. Appalling holding his child in one hand whilst trying to fix windows with other hand. Then lied & his manager said he was sat outside my property and no 2 year old was present. CCTV proved TCL are cowboy builders and liers. Digusting behaviour.

During the two years I have owned my 55C825K Smart Television it has been plagued by software issues. No updates have ever been received from TCL and attempting to contact their customer service is an absolute joke. They just never respond. Appalling Service.

Known problem ( wish I had seen the reviews before buying) on my TCL 20 5G phone making phone crash when taking photo's, tried on tens of occasions by email to sort out after being sent instructions on doing a flashing an update, the package or the phone will not process it. Sent emails with pictures, videos etc and zero response. Something is wrong with the phone or software. It's not like I am not tech savvy, just done my Samsung tablet with custom flashed rom.
Certainly just on customer service it's 1 star. I know it's only a £250 phone but stay clear

TCL P09F4CSW0K Smart Air Conditioner
The Retailer was top rate and I have left a review on the purchase experience earlier. To the TCL portable AC unit, I have had this a week now and though no real need to use it, I have. The AC unit is smart looking, came very well packaged and was simple to set up and for the performance vs price then it would be hard to get anything better. Well done TCL a good easy to use product at an affordable price. One small comment for anyone looking to purchase, if you have a 5G smartphone then just currently the AC unit will not link to your phone - upto 4G no issue. This is only if you were going to download the TCL APP and link the unit to your phone, so you can operate the AC unit while out of the house.

Ordered a TCL RP318BXE0UK fridge Freezer on the 19th Dec and it was delivered 21st Dec from Marks Electrical . It arrived and once I had unpacked it I could see that the silver trim as shown on the product web page was missing. So since 21 st of Dec to today 12 Jan I have been in contact with Marks Electrical and TLC about this trim. Today I get told , The manufacturer has come back to Marks Electrical
to advise that the product conforms and they have advised that the pictures are not contractual . So in essence they are using the Bait and Switch ruse Surely the pictures form the basis of buying a product online. Without pictures of the product how can you form an opinion of said product to buy. So I have bought a Fridge Freezer that has changed from the pictures they have on the website and now I have to live Without the Silver Trim I HAVE PAID FOR .That's the point TCL and Marks Electrical are missing I HAVE PAID EXTRA FOR THIS .

Just look at the reviews. 4 x1 star reviews and 4 x 5 star reviews. Not looking good for TCL As long as you do not need any help its good. Just wait until you need help. Now that's defo 1 star review territory. I have had to phone up TCL for over 3 weeks about my problem. Not once did they call back. I have 2 years warranty on my Fridge Freezer. God help me if i need any assistance going on my experience. Buyer Beware.
New info. This is the response from Marks Electrical that they received from TCL.

I can see we contacted TCL on several occasions who confirmed that this is a manufacturing error and the wrong trims were fitted and supplied with this appliance however as this does not affect the overall working of the appliance they are unable to do anything regarding this directly.
This the operative wording. Confirmed that this is a manufacturing error and the wrong trims were fitted and supplied with this appliance . So they know the wrong trims where fitted but nothing is to be done. Even though i paid extra for these items.

False economy - it's cheap because it's crap
Spend a bit more and buy something decent. I bought a 55 inch TV from them. I was pleased to start with but after a few weeks I noticed a lag loading apps ad then it started switching itself off randomly halfway through a programme. It's an Android TV, so it wasn't just a case of turning it back on, I had to sit through its re-booting process. Tedious, to say the least when it's in the middle of England's opening World Cup match. When it did finally come back on, the first 6 channels were missing, and the rest had out of sync subtitles. To be fair, TCL did raise a repair quickly with Equinox the company they use for servicing. But my experience with them was awful. Equinox emailed me immediately to say that they had received the repair request and would be in contact shortly to arrange a date. After a week, I phoned them to ask when it might be. Somehow without asking anything about the fault, the engineer diagnosed that I needed a new circuit board and they would contact me after they had received one. When the engineer turned up a week later, it was without a circuit board or any tools. He messed about with the remote for a while and announced it was repaired. But he hadn't restored the missing channels or got rid of the subtitles. I called to him to come back, but he literally ran away. The engineer reported the fault as repaired and the case was closed. I had to start the whole process again and wait another three weeks until a different engineer came and fixed it. Now another month on and it has started switching itself off again. Maybe I've been unlucky - or maybe their products are garbage
Amazing for the price
Amazing for the price, I see it becoming a big brand in uk as it already is in usa. Picture quality and functionality is great, also soundbars sound good. The only bad bit is if you get an android model, make sure it has a fast enough processor, as it might be slow and ruin the experience.
Ordered a TCL American fridge freezer…
Ordered a TCL American fridge freezer for our kitchen re-model. It looks smart and matched our other “higher budget” appliances perfectly. The white light display on the front is subtle and it’s quiet considering the size.
Very pleased all round. Will recommend to others.
poor product and customer service
They promised to send someone out to a faulty tv, it's been 2 weeks and nothing. I've decided to scrap it and buy new, definitely not TCL, as it's never been right from the start.
Had a reply from TCL so decided to give them a chance. So far it's been
1. It will take a couple of weeks to order parts.
2. Engineer booked, I stayed in all day, he phone 6.30 PM to say he couldn't make it.
3.Engineer booked, stayed in all day, had an email to say the engineer phoned in sick.
4. Engineer booked, decided to stay home again, had an email to say they'd lost the parts.
The last one was a week ago, I've had no more contact. I've bought a new TV and will be starting a case with the small claims court today.
