The onboarding is handled very well. The cost for the service makes it affordable for smaller businesses that have to maintain nexus for several states

Constant Technical Issues. Since contracting in Jan 2026, have had 1) I had to write a complicated interface from QB Desktop.. no one told me about. 2) Constant Upload issues, tech support is slow to respond. 3) Initiated a return that resulted in a state withdrawing funds from my bank...a state we dont do business in. And they act like it is just business as usual... costing me days in extra work

The worst company. Took the money without asking. Will never work with them. Very unprofessional.

I needed to find a way to get sales tax compliant in several states, but wanted it to be easy and not add to my load as a small business owner. I chose Tax Cloud and so far it's been a great experience. The onboarding was simple. I appreciated having live help during the integration process. I think the cost is very reasonable, but more than that, I love the peace of mind in knowing that all of these crazy sales tax thresholds are being managed and sales tax is being filed and I don't have to have to give it a second thought.

Terrible support. Replies come once a week, there is no chat, and in the end I cannot even get a clear answer about pricing within two weeks.

The company is in the US and you can easily access their customer service. Onboarding is easy. It's so nice to not have to worry about sales tax. Very professional!

Pricing is much more affordable than our previous provider (Avalara), and the overage policy on their subscription tiers is significantly more "friendly."

The support team is US-based and integration was straightforward with their WooCommerce plugin.

TaxCloud's SST filing capabilities are great for us as we are active in all 50 states.

Terrible experience working with TaxCloud. Been trying to understand what was remitted over for my business for each state and it's now been two years no answers. I am told to look at the Jurisdiction report, but okay if I could get the answer from the Jurisdiction report why can't they show me what to look at and give me an answer?

When I first signed up with TaxCloud, I had reached out for help with setting up my sales tax. They ill informed me that I needed to sign up for all SST states. Come to find out I was charging sales tax in many states that I did not hit Nexus in.

If you ever have any questions on what was remitted over for your business in a certain state you will never get an answer. Totals never matched with what sales tax I was collecting. Still waiting on answers to get the totals. I think they are just ignoring me now.

Do yourself a favor and try Numeral or someone else besides TaxCloud.

I'm sure they will reply to this review but that does not mean I will get any of the answers to any of my questions regarding what the hell they paid for on my behalf. All just a big mystery somehow hidden in spreed sheets that no body from TaxCloud can seem to show me.

We have been with Avalara for many years and the cost continued to go up at astronomical rates and the service was mediocre at best. I shopped several other options and decided on Tax Cloud. The swap was seamless, onboarding a breeze, and customer support is unmatched. 8 months in and and happy we made the move. The only negative was our pricing was lowballed and we have had to increase our plan multiple times even though I provided all necessary information/order count etc for our initial quote.

Taxcloud makes tax calculations simple and fast. Easy to integrate with my e-commerce store and they submit my taxes for me to the various states. Highly recommend.

TaxCloud has been super easy to work with. I am a new e-commerce store owner and know nothing about taxes and they have taken over everything. Onboarding process and updates have been great with the team.

Tax Cloud helped me with finding the appropriate taxes for my estimates and invoices in QuickBooks. They also registered my business with all of the states we are doing business and file the monthly/ quarterly tax returns. This was very stressful for me with just two states; so when we grew to over thirteen, I got help! TaxCloud made the whole tax process easier!
