Purchased a nice Alfa Romeo Giulietta over the phone. When I collected the car, they had put a new MOT on it for me and the car was presented in an excellent manner.

The staff were really good - no pressure at all and treated me well.

Had the car a couple of days now and I couldn’t be happier- thank you.

I can't be bothered to go into the details of the 3 months I had one of their cars. They convinced to spend money, then turns out the engine was knackered any way.
Promises of a full refund not followed through. Lots of talk of "we're sorry, unfortunately these things happen with cars", then why am I out of pocket just because I made the mistake of buying a car from these guys. They've cost me a lot of time, money and stress.
I just know they still going to try and sell that bloody car to some other mug.
Save yourself hassle and buy elsewhere. Absolute pricks.

I travelled over 5 hours and took two trains with my 30-week pregnant wife to pick up this vehicle, and the experience was extremely disappointing.

The wheels had been sprayed to cover damage rather than properly refurbished. All four tyres had significant curb damage, tears, and cuts — one was even worn down to the cord. Every single body panel had damage, despite me only being told there were stone chips on the front bumper. The rear bumper and boot shut showed reverse damage, and the driver’s door handle cap was missing.

The passenger side step had worse kerb damage than the alloys, and inside, the rear passenger leather door card was ripped. The vehicle had not even been properly prepared for viewing.

To make matters worse, the salesperson Ross Watson I had been dealing with was not available to explain, and another salesman, Tom, had to step in. To his credit, Tom was professional, apologetic, and admitted the car was “rough.” He did his best to help and even offered to take us to the station after we decided not to proceed. For that, I am truly grateful.

Ultimately, given the condition of the vehicle, the lack of transparency, and then discovering there was only one key provided, I had no choice but to walk away. After such a long and tiring journey, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

That said, I want to personally thank Tom for his professionalism and support — he was the only positive part of the visit.

Ironically, Ross Watson has posted a 5 star review after seeing this.

Ross couldn’t do enough for me when I purchased my car very polite and friendly always kept in contact regarding collection after it had a full MOT and service. Will 100% do business again with these guys

Spoke to Ross this morning and asked him to wattsapp me a video on a white Mercedes slk which he did , I messaged him back to say we liked the car and were 2 hours away as we wanted to view it before purchasing it , on arrival we met Ross told him why we were there and he seemed surprised and apologised to say the car wasn’t available as it was having a wheel refurbished !! What a waste of time and fuel ! If he’d said this morning it wasn’t available we wouldn’t have travelled there ! My honest opinion the car never was there ! If you are thinking of going to look at buying a car I’d seriously think again !!

After 3 weeks i still dont have V5 and said road tax would stay in place till they receive V5 and then they would contact me with details so i could Tax car but went onto Gov. today to find car has no Tax.car was olso delivered with 1mm on one tire and puncture on other tire and also 2 tpms sensors not working and now 2 new tires also fitted that should have been done befor delivery to me and maybe more to come in the post as its been on the road in Glasgow without road tax,bunch of cowboys

Unauthorized Hard Credit Searches Conducted

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding unauthorized hard credit searches conducted without my consent. Recently, I contacted Tambridge Motors for a vehicle quote and explicitly stated several times that only a soft credit search should be performed. I was assured that no hard searches would be conducted and did not provide authorization for my details to be shared for such purposes.

Despite this, I was contacted by QFinance, who informed me that two hard credit searches have been conducted in my name. This has occurred without my permission and is a serious breach of my instructions.

I have already contacted both Tambridge Motors and QFinance regarding this matter, but I have not received a resolution. I am now requesting the following:

Immediate Removal of the Hard Searches from my credit report as these were conducted without my authorization.
A Written Explanation detailing why my details were forwarded to a third party and why hard searches were conducted contrary to my explicit instructions.
Assurance of Preventative Measures to ensure such incidents do not occur again in the future.
This situation has caused me unnecessary stress and may negatively impact my credit score. I expect this matter to be resolved promptly. Please acknowledge receipt of this email and provide a resolution timeline.

Tame car market

Bought a £4,000 car which was supposed to have no problems.

After less than 2 weeks had to get it checked by my garage who identified a raft of issues.

I tried to be reasonable and even got further opinions.

I was advised by 4 different mechanics to take it back for a refund, well within my rights under the Consumer Act 2015.

After numerous phonecalls (one condescending and abusive from the owner Lewis Tuttle), emails and two letters I sent requesting a refund and having to threaten legal action, they paid up.

If they are like this over a £4,000 car, what would they be like if you had a problem with one of the £30-100k cars they are selling?
