Very friendly staff and very helpful with any questions I have asked regarding my treatment

Amazing staff so helpful and caring

Awful experience, and most definately wouldn't return or recommend here , trying to charge me for an appointment one week after it after not being told about the full Costs when I asked beforehand, have been to trying to resolver for weeks with them and they don't get back to me or reply to emails , were not transparent in the coats at all and really unhelpful in trying to resolve , also found the premises to be run down and not as clean as it should be , very poor

First of all, I've always received excellent clinical care from my dentist, and the staff are consistently friendly, kind and understanding. That said, the condition of the practice itself is a real concern and has been for at least the last 18 months, if not longer.

The environment is not just a bit worn or dated – it feels neglected. There’s chipped plaster where repairs haven't been completed, a missing window sill, scuffed and dirty skirting boards, cobwebs on walls, door frames and windows, and dirt that looks caked into the joins of the lino flooring. The toilet door is particularly grimy, with visible dirt where hands have repeatedly touched it, and no sign it’s ever been properly cleaned. In the downstairs toilet, the emergency pull cord was wrapped around the support bar, a basic safety risk, and there was a visible layer of dust on the other bar and the window sill.

Weeds are growing inside through the door frames at the side and back of the building – not just peeking through slightly, but genuinely creeping indoors. Taken together, these things create an overall sense of shabbiness and a lack of care.

It honestly feels like the bare minimum is being done when it comes to cleaning, perhaps a quick hoover or mop, but there’s no sign of any real attention to hygiene or upkeep.

To be clear, I’ve never had any reason to question the cleanliness of the dental instruments or the items used during appointments. But the environment they’re being used in falls far below the standard you'd expect in any healthcare setting, and is, frankly, the dirtiest healthcare environment I’ve ever visited. It hasn’t always been like this, which makes the decline even more disappointing.

What makes it worse is that Synergy Dental’s website proudly claims their goal is to provide patients with “the absolute best”, and to make every patient feel comfortable and at ease from the moment they arrive. Sadly, they’re not living up to these promises. The current state of the building does the exact opposite – it could easily make you question the quality and safety of the care you’re about to receive.

I haven’t felt comfortable raising this directly, even though I believe my concerns are valid. From the first time I noticed how uncared for the environment seemed, I considered saying something, but I worried it might come across as being difficult or making a fuss. Each time I returned and saw things were the same or worse, I thought about raising it again, but those same thoughts came back. You never know how it will be received – whether it’ll be taken seriously, you'll be dismissed, or the issue simply ignored. That uncertainty, combined with a lack of any clear route to escalate the issue centrally, is what’s kept me quiet until now. But after yet another visit where nothing had improved, I no longer feel it’s right to stay silent.

If it were easy to switch to another NHS dentist that maintained even a basic standard of environmental hygiene, I’d have done so a long time ago. The only reason I’ve stayed is because of the excellent care from my dentist, but the condition of the building lets the whole practice down. It doesn’t reflect the professionalism of the people working there, and it certainly doesn’t meet the standards they claim to uphold.

I've rated 2 stars because the care itself has always been excellent — but the condition of the building seriously affects the overall experience and cannot be overlooked.

Excellent friendly service. Couldn't have been more helpful and efficient.
Had a tooth extraction but made me feel as comfortable as possible .

Last few appointments have either been cancelled to staff shortage or sickness, Thursdays visit I was waiting 50 minutes before I was called, only told 30 minutes of waiting about a delay , I was only in for a check up,

Booked in for a consultation, Darcie talked me through step by step everything that needed to be done so helpful and very friendly can not wait to see the end result.

Dentist are very nice n welcoming

Had an extraction done today. Was a very professional experience, having had bad experience with extractions as a child I’ve always been nervous at the dentist. Was made to feel very reassured and relaxed by the Dental surgeon and the procedure was carried out quickly with no issues. Both the surgeon and nurse were skilled and professional and I felt like they provided the best level of care.

Always a great customer experience at Synergy in Burscough, the staff are always keen to ensure you receive the best possible service.

I honestly can’t thank Dr Aysha and Nurse Alex enough they are both AMAZING women!!
I have had a long journey with my teeth and every step of the way (through my tears and moments of hilarity!) the care, compassion and professionalism they have shown has been second to none!!
Each appointment Dr. Aysha has explained everything to me (numerous times for my benefit) the options, the time process and has been honest and open with me!!
Nurse Alex has been on the journey from the start too and she too is fab, she’s helped me process everything and like Dr Aysha a very friendly, welcoming face!

They have never made me feel belittled or judged me they honestly are FANTASTIC i genuinely can’t thank them enough!!

You two are absolute stars! Xxx

Friendly helpful staff. Professional dentist who's attention to detail is excellent.

I have recently had some composite bonding treatment and enlighten whitening, & an extraction, Natalie and the staff at synergy dental, ormskirk are absolutely amazing, from start to finish Natalie explained everything in really good detail about the procedures and it was all pain free, the results are incredible and has completely transformed my teeth, I would highly recommend synergy, and again would like to Thank Natalie and the staff team at synergy ormskirk, I will not go anywhere else.

I can’t even put into words how good these guys are

I had some work done with Faris and his assistant Keira, They both made me feel very comfortable (despite being terrified of the dentist 😂)

I was very conscious about my two broken front teeth and Faris got me booked in quick time and less than a month later I’m back to my normal self again!

I honestly can’t recommend Synergy Dental Burscough enough after my experience

Dr Natalie is a lovely dentist and really puts me at ease as a fairly nervous patient. Would definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a dentist

Very efficient service on my first appointment at at my new Dentist. Really helpful and pleasant staff too!

No waiting time. Friendly staff and efficient good standard of care and not pushy in terms of further treatment etc.

Very good with nervous patients and by being on the synergy plan makes the cost of treatment that bit better. I would recommend this dentist practice to others.
