Very shady business practices. I had no choice but to use them to pay for an emergency plumbing repair where sewage was backing into my house. I was told I would have no interest, but interest was on the first bill anyway. They would not email me any information for the first month, but would call, which went to my spam call screening. Their site would not let me make a payment, saying I could not make a payment on a holiday, even though I was not scheduling it on a holiday (it said that for every day). I dont trust this company at all.

Not happy!! Pay more than my payment amount every month and yet interest keeps going up???? And what the heck is per diem??That was never mentioned in the contract. Also if you read the contract as I just did it says 9.99 percent per year. These people have no clue. Closing account asap. NEVER AGAIN!! Feel like I’m getting ripped off and they don’t care! Even the reps can’t answer my questions.

Dawn was an excellent representative of Service Finance. She was a good listener, knew what I was looking for and stayed with me until my objective was accomplished. She was patient, polite and professional. I wish someone like Dawn would always be on the other end of my business phone calls.

My first call to the Philippines was terrible My second call to Dawn Ruchman was great (Keep your call center in the U.S.)

I financed a home improvement through Service Financial Company LLC with a 14 month no payment/no interest promotion. When the promotion period was over I made full/timely payments for six months the paid the loan in full. They reported to the credit bureau that the account was considered adverse and had been settled not paid in full and tanked my credit rating. They refuse to correct the issue after multiple disputes being filed with the credit bureau.

This company is awful. We paid off our loan through our Heloc, they were actually overpaid and since May of 2025 we have been due a refund of $367. I have been constantly on the phone with this company. They advised a couple of weeks ago that the check was mailed September 9, 2025. Today is the 24th and it still has not been received and the reason for this review.

Constant, daily phone calls, even though we make every payment with more than the set monthly payment. They send statements after the due date and then send messages about " grace period" Refuse to speak with me as my husband's name is on the loan...I take care of all monthly bills

My initial encounter with Service Finance Company was not great. I registered with the company on its website and proceeded through the form provided to enable direct withdrawal from my checking account to sec. Inexplicably, the program would not complete my application because it claimed I was starting payments on ineligible dates, ie weekends, holidays, etc. None of this was true. I entered multiple dates that satisfied the criteria. I call tech support and got Dawn Tuchman.She guided me through various options, which did not work, and finally forwarded a form to allow me to file a paper application. She also forwarded my issue to IT, who were completely useless, asking what site I was on (!), asking me for the date stamp on the screen shot I took of the blocked e-form demonstrating that it would not complete the application, and offered no help. Dawn then got back to me the next day with some helpful advice. I tried the e-application again for planning monthly withdrawals from my bank account, and it went through. Dawn was helpful, she stayed with me for 24 hours and continued to offer support until the problem was fixed. I fault SVC for a glitchy website and for the lack of any IT help. I praise SVC for offering a variety of options for repaying loans, which ultimately worked out well for my family. And Dawn was very, very good. I was not just a frustrated customer, I was someone whose problem she intended to fix so that I would be happy and so that her company would get its loan repaid efficiently and glitch free.

All I know too with this company they should have their license revoked and be shut down these people never tell the truth

Service Finance made a loan of $6355 for an AC installed by ECM. It was to be paid off within 2 years with no interest. I paid it in full within 3 months, yet they keep billing me--I called many times--I informed them that my bank cashed they checks, as per my bank statements. After multiple calls, always unsucessful, I called Truist, who owns Service Finance. They connected with Service Finance and agreed it was all paid except for 59 cents (which I did send them, 2 quaarters and a dime, but I resent a check for 59 cents anyway. They are STILL billing me for various amounts of money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I can't make a payment; interest starts day one. like most places. You can't setup an account to pay until they decide to set you up. The contractor uses this service. Not Better Business Bureau accredited.

Stay away If a contractor suggests they use them.
DO NOT USE THEM!

If you can choose to work with a different company I would. Their customer service is deeply lacking and gives off reading from a script and not able to creatively think about a problem and when I asked to talk to a manager “none could be found.”
My biggest complaint is that they take zero responsibility for mistakes on their end. There was a mishap with their online automatic payment system which we tried to remedy with multiple calls and was told many different ways to fix the problem, the first payment wasn’t taken out on time and they put a lean on our house. No matter the fact that every payment worked after and we made multiple attempts to talk to a manager about the problem we were read a script about the first missed payment (their fault) and told to pay it off in full and they would lift the lean.
Never working with them again.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They refused to change a due date to when a social security check arrives. Which then causes our payment to be late every single month. They continually have an automated system that calls you to let you know it is late. They will not work with you at all.

they don't send bills, can't log in, can't pay but they will still charge you! the worst ever! No records to refer to.

Do not do business with this company they are a ripped off payment for windows was supposed to be no interest until 5yrs & they lied refuse to make right & charge 13.99 % extra on bill.This was not what I agreed

Loan Sharks! stay away, they charge interest by the day. I had a my bathroom redone by PJ Fitzpatrick, LLC a total of $12,900. Fitzpatrick got my financed by these people. Next thing I new, I owed more then I was paying per month, and trying to pay them off is another hassle due to there call center is based out of the Philippines. Stay Away! find another reputable finance company.

Got a great person to help us straighten out an account error on our end. Dawn Buchman was a great help and got the issue resolved the same day. Everyone was happy and professional.

Do not do business with this company they're customer service is terrible. Plus, there all overseas and don't understand what you're telling them. I have called twice and still can't get my issue corrected.

When I called I was transferred to a representative.
Her name is Dawn Tuchman. She is a great rep for the company. She was a very polite and knowledgeabe
person and answered all my questions. If I needed
her to explain again, she was very patient with me.
She truly cares about people. I was very pleased
with her service
