Horrible Experience
My experience with Sunnova has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was promised a flat rate of $257 per month, with enough solar coverage to meet my household’s needs. I was even assured that adding an electric car wouldn’t increase my cost — the only change would be if I installed a pool. Instead, my bills have skyrocketed, and I’m now paying nearly $800 a month! I’ve been told I need to purchase a costly battery and enroll in another program just to cover nighttime usage, which means paying even more.
For over a year and a half, I’ve been calling and emailing, only to be ignored or given the runaround. I’ve been promised call-backs that never happen, and when I finally received my contract today, it wasn’t even mine — it belonged to another customer! This level of negligence is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how they handle customer information.
Since signing up, I’ve experienced financial strain, property damage, and no real solutions — just mounting bills and additional costs. The customer service is beyond frustrating, and I feel completely deceived by this company.
Sunnova has been a disaster from start to finish. I do not recommend them to anyone. Stay away unless you want to be locked into rising bills, hidden fees, and endless headaches with no resolution in sight.

This lease program worked for us!
We have had no issues with our system to date. The 43 panels are doing a great job for us and we usually have an overproduction credit for about 8-9 months out of the year.
My son had some hail damage on one of his panels and he had a very slow response from Sunnova warranty but after some phone calls it was warranted!

Sunnova Power Purchase Agreement Anniversary
There are a lot of moving pieces with planning, installation, and activation of solar panels. Everything went smoothly and on time and everyone was very helpful and responsive. I chose to go with the PPA and I am very happy with it!

Sunnova preyed on my senior friend
Sunnova preyed on my senior friend. Salesman told her contract was for five years, it’s for 25 Years. She is paying more than she ever did for electricity. Did not explain that the cost will increase every year. She is blind in one eye and has limited vision in vision in her other eye. Sages refused to give her written document. Showed her a tablet which she could not read. When I contacted Sunnova they said “ we contract the sales service. We are not responsible for what they say “. Sunnova lies, deceives, has a poor product, she still uses electricity most months, and lacks integrity. Do not do business with these these people, they lie.

Customer service is terrible
Customer service is terrible. You call and always speak to someone who does not want to be there and just transfer you in circles. We bought a new build home that came with solar. We moved in 5 months ago and they still have yet to figure out how to turn on our solar. You call to ask and nobody there knows. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Was upset cause many electricity imterruptions but nothing showed up on my Tesla app informing me of it and either when it was restored back.

Salesperson was easy to deal with and everything he explained was does as he stated. The work crew during installation were very professional, completed work as promised and on schedule. Very happy with the process throughout each step.
