Thanks to Summerwood for providing an awesome product and detailed guidance in building a great outdoor space. We opted for the precut, 11ft Monterey gazebo with a screen kit, and then added our own asphalt shingles. With limited building experience my wife and I were able to assemble a gorgeous addition to our property. Whenever we had questions, the staff at Summerwood provided key answers and suggestions that were significant in ensuring a great look. Some of these suggestions could be added to the installation guides (e.g., using 7/16 inch OSB sheathing over the cedar roof boards to prevent roof nails from penetrating thru the ceiling). We stained assembled sections as we went and found that more manageable than staining individual pieces or the whole assembled building.

I really enjoyed putting together this kit, I had help from my son and future son in law. The assembly was well put together and final product looks amazing! Lots of compliments from everyone who has had the pleasure of seeing it.

Quality materials, quality workmanship, quality people. On time, courteous, responsive, patient. If you want more from a supplier/manufacturer, you are on the wrong planet!

I was referee by a friend as I wanted a a good looking shed customized to my particulars needs and wants. I live in BC and it seemed crazy to ship the kits from Ontario but I am so glad I did. I got the shed/ studio I wanted and more. I got great help in the design with helpful suggestions (such as a long bar window and extra height). I love my new art studio and get so many complements on it. All the wood pieces sent ( across the country to an island) were straight and high quality so I have a solid beautiful studio — exactly what I wanted. All the timelines were met and the staff wonderful to work with from design to shipping. Highly recommend working with Summerwood

San Cristobal is excellent product, using very substantial materials and well designed. Beautiful when built - I have had many compliments. Very responsive customer service. Spare components supplied were very useful since we made many mistakes in assembling.

It's not cheap. And the semi-assembled version cost around $12K to erect, including concrete footings. Instructions (manual, video) are extensive but still NOWHERE near enough. Many components arrive unidentified, many names on the packing list are non-obvious, and we puzzled for hours over what goes where. This should be easily fixed, Summerwood! In addition, our shipment arrived with numerous items damaged in transit, causing delays to get re-sent or try to source locally (mostly impossible).
Summerwood helped us through these issues but they were long and many.

In a couple of cases the design/fit was not perfect and we had to adapt it: the 8 roof sections could not be made to fit and edges had to be hand-trimmed. Doors with jambs were oversized for the available opening and had to be adapted.

We have been dealing with Summerwood Products for over 10 years and continue to be impressed. When I needed new flower
boxes for our cabana, I received prompt and excellent customer service from Maya (Logistics Coordinator). I would highly recommend this company!

Rarely does a major project like this meet or exceed expectations. Happily, my new Summerwood custom Oban studio is even better than I imagined. The best corner office ever. The Summerwood teams were professional and detail-oriented every step of the way. Could not be more pleased. This space is beyond inspiring for my work as a journalist and podcaster.

We purchased a cabana from Summerwood 18 years ago and it is one of the best decisions we ever made. We were putting in a patio at the time and the cabana took centre stage. Over the years we have had numerous compliments about it. Nowadays it is a pleasure to deal with such a professional company who go out of their way to help you and who have been in business for a long time. Over the years they have given us advice on maintenance etc. and if we ever have to replace the cabana we will definitely go with Summerwood.

We bought a Summerwood garden shed 30 years ago in 1991. It functions well. We stain it every year and it still looks like new!

I have just had an exceptionally positive customer experience from Maya at Summerwood.

I called last week looking for a Summerwood accessory that wasn't available. Maya took my call and promised to get back to me with availability information. True to her word she responded this week and let me know that the product was now ready to be picked up.

Not only was the product ready and brought to my car, but Maya also came out to greet me and make sure that everything was in order.

Excellent quality and looks! The design team was very helpful with coming up with a pier mounting system that was engineered well.
Directions were straight forward and easy to follow. Note that nails are included in a precut kit but a siding nailer works really well. Greatly appreciate the extra materials, siding, that came with the kit. I used it to finish up the trim on a special pier mount design I had to use.

I was a bit skeptical about spending this amount of money based on a website, photos and reviews. I took a chance. Right out the gate, customer service was excellent. The ordering process was smooth and efficient. The product delivered was as ordered, and as high of quality as I had hoped. Take the chance. Summerwood won't disappoint!

Our family was looking for a high quality cabin that would last forever. We looked at many different companies and nothing appeared to have the same build quality of Summerwood. So we began with our first meeting at the showroom and right away their professional staff and show floor examples were outstanding. We picked our unit, made some custom changes along the way and had their designers and engineers approve everything.
This is a large commitment for us as we want this as a 4 season cabin and we could not be more confident in our decision.

I built my first Summerwood 7'X14' Palmerston garden shed back in 1996. After moving to another house I built the same 7'X14' Palmerston garden shed in 2004. Friends and family that came into the backyard would always comment on how great the shed looked and it was a focal point in the yard and blended well with our gardens. Both sheds that I built were strong and durable. As I built both of these myself I found the plans to be very easy to follow. I would highly recommend Summerwood products.

I looked for a long time for the right type of structure for a garden patio. When I landed on Summerwood and saw all their various models and the ability to design my own kit, I knew I'd found the right place. The model I selected was "Urban Studio" I liked the fact that I could order the kit as either pre cut lumber only, or as a partially assembled structure, I chose the latter. I also liked it that I could order it to my exact design (size, windows & doors, siding, colors, roof type, etc.)

The day it was delivered I was a bit surprised at how much material there actually was and the space it took up - be prepared for that. Since I'd ordered a partially assembled product, some of the parts were large and heavy. Have a couple friends on hand to help with the offloading. It took up most of my driveway space. The materials in the kit are of a high quality.

I had a couple friends help me with framing, assembly, door & window installation, roof and siding and both of them work in the building trades. The overall assembly took about a week. This was more than a simple weekend project for a DIY'er. The kit came with plenty of instructions, although I did have a couple questions along the way and I both e-mailed and called summerwood and they were very helpful & timely in answering my questions. The kit also had all of the materials required for full assembly, and even some extra in case a goof up happened along the way.

I wired it for electricity and trimmed out the interior on my own. It all turned out great and it is a very nice addition to my back yard garden.

We had ordered the Alpine model garage but had it modified so we could install a car lift. We also had a barn dormer installed which added lots of room in the loft. Summerwood was great to deal with! Their pre-assembled kit arrived in perfect order and was put up quickly and efficiently! I would recommend Summerwood to anyone looking for a great looking and well built garage!

We ordered and received 3 Summerwood buildings, all wrapped and delivered with care. I guess if I could make 1 suggestion, it would be to mark on the outside, what pieces are on the inside. But, when it came time to unwrap and start building, EVERYTHING was in it's place and then some (extra wood even). They are beautifully designed and we couldn't be happier !!! Very happy with Summerwood. Highly recommend. Great service in planning / design phase, and their team that assembled the units were prforessional and worked hard / fast. I bought both a pool cabana and a garden shed, and I'm very happy with both units. They look great!
