I did a lot of research looking for a Bunkie for our cottage property . Summerwood had the most flexibility and was able to provide us with the design we wanted. And their online tool was easy to use. John and the engineers were also available to answer our many questions. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you.

We are building a home in the Beaches and are considering a shed in the back yard. We spent the better part of the afternoon with John who provided us with a full understanding of the materials, design, size, base options, and happily answered all our many questions. John gave us a detailed quote on the spot.There is no doubt that summerwood products and John's friendly and professional customer service is superior. No need to look further.

The online design system was very intuitive. We wanted something close to, but not exactly like, any of the default options, and creating our own design was simple and enjoyable. The only issue was that the online system assumed that shingles were part of the order, whereas for shipping reasons we need to get them ourselves separately, but that was explained clearly in the follow-up phone call and makes good sense.

Our Summerwood experience was a family affair. My Mother and Father purchased a cottage for their backyard to serve as a bar and pool hangout. We saw it and had to have one. After discussing this with John Hickey we decided on the Telluride shed. It was decided that my husband and son could build it. It was overwhelming to see all the pieces lined up in our small yard (not a piece was missing). They worked every day with the assembly and finally it was this amazing outbuilding. They also used cedar wood for the inside walls to give it a homey, comfortable look. We divided it up into two parts - one-third for storage and two-thirds for a music room. After 18 years of enjoyment we are still in awe of it. Thanks John for your amazing customer service and friendship.

Our Summerwood shed exceeds our expectations. It is so beautiful for a shed. It looks like a little cabin. There were so many choices in style and size to customize it to fit our space and requirements perfectly. The customer service at Summerwood was outstanding! I would highly recommend them. We used our shed to house our pool equipment and pool supplies and made it big enough to have space for extra storage. The windows have screens so I can open the windows to keep it well ventilated. It looked great without paint but we decided to paint it to match the Timberkit in our yard and it looks even better now. We didn’t finish the interior because it’s a shed but if you decided to finish the interior it could be used as an office, a pool house, a change room…..so many options.

Summerwood is a top quality product with excellent support. I loved watching this project come together! It has good looks and quality materials and their help always responded same day. I love my new studio.

We purchased a customized Sarawak Lean-To shed and are absolutely thrilled with our choice. We were able to move everything out of the garage and storage into the shed with lots of room to spare. The shed is absolutely gorgeous with all cedar trim and it's probably sturdier than our actual house.

You will not be disappointed purchasing a one-of-a-kind product from Summerwood for your house.

Initial phonecalls requiring information were handled promptly and with professionalism. Drawings rendered were well delineated. The products, including all materials, are of top notch quality. There were a few glitches with installation but the company handled those with aplomb and finesse.
We probably now own one of the jazziest sheds in the universe, or, at the very least, in Muskoka!

Building our Catalina Cabana with Summerwood was an awesome experience and I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to add a new structure to their property!! They offer office, storage, studio, and custom design options for anything you may need to build. Our finished cabana is absolutely beautiful, of excellent quality, and was far more reasonably priced than other options we explored.
The customer service was outstanding from start to finish and everyone was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to work with as we tried to decide on designs and adapt them to our specific wants and needs.
The building materials we received were top quality. (We did request help in assembling the kit from a local contractor who commented that these materials were REALLY outstanding.) Printed instructions and video tutorials were included for our reference and the level of detail was incredibly helpful.
I would absolutely call Summerwood again if we ever need to build another structure. They made the entire process and experience of ordering and building a joy!

I purchased my Summerwood shed nearly 15 years ago. These people do not build the usual, shop-worn, particle board stuff. These sheds are for those who recognize the value in quality materials, quality construction. I knew my shed would be used, for garden tools and plant potting and I got just what I wanted; the size and the features that are important to me and the quality of build that not only lasts but serves as a quiet and pleasant refuge.
If you want quality, call Summerwood. They are worth every penny.

There are many things to love about Summerwood, but my favorite is the product itself. I was able to customize my shed (it's a home office) to be the exact environment I wanted, which is important since I spend so much time there. My needs were complicated, and I had a lot of questions, but the company was fantastic about addressing them quickly and clearly. All this was nine years ago, and other than restaining the wood trim, my shed is as perfect as the first day I began working in it. I contacted Summerwood recently to see if the structure could be safely moved a few feet, and they responded almost immediately (and on a weekend.) I highly recommend this company and its products.

We had a Summerwood garden shed installed this past summer and are very pleased with it. The supply chain slowdown resulted in a wait of several months but the outcome has more than made up for that. The team who did the installation were friendly, personable and efficient, and the in house representatives I was in contact with were also pleasant to deal with. Thank you Summerwood, I look forward to many years of loving my shed.

I worked out the design with John and had great support from Ray along the way. Of course there were some hiccups but everything got resolved nicely. I even had a pleasant chat with Peter, the owner. Just a detail though, I realized early on that I could not build this myself, being merely handy. So, hired a carpenter and we had a wonderful time building a cabin that I'm extremely proud of. So, thanks Summerwood!

I wanted to leave a thank you and positive review for Summerwood Products and their amazing customer support. We purchased a Cabana shed from them 17 years ago and over time one of the siding pieces got damaged. I was not really expecting to get the same siding but in talking to Anthony Saint they still carried it and even offered to supply a replacement piece cut to the correct length at no charge. In addition, the siding material they use is so fade resistant that the new piece even matches the old siding that has been exposed to the elements for 17 years. So to Anthony and all the staff at Summerwood Products, thank you for the great shed and for standing behind your product after all these years.

20 years plus and still great service.
I had an issue with the roof of my 20 + year old gazebo because of a racoon ripping off some shakes. Summerwood helped me out with replacement shakes and provided and walked thru some installation support.

As a follow up to "Seamless ordering and design process" we received and built our shed and couldn't be happier with the outcome! I have a bit of construction experience so had an idea of what I was getting myself into but the build was challenging. The key for us was to "study" the plans and follow the instructions. It took five full days from sorting all of the material; framing; installing the siding; hanging the windows and door; putting up the siding; installing the soffit, fascia and trim; laying the roof membrane; and finally completing paint touchups. The result was rewarding though as it turned out beautifully and everyone that has seen it has complimented on how great it looks!

This is a great product. Our cabana pool house is beautiful and built to last! Build and instructions were relatively straightforward and easy to follow. Overall a fun project to work on and complete. We actually had a bit of an issue where the pre-assembly that we paid for had an issue. The door frame was built several inches too narrowly for the door we selected. This required cutting our studs and reframing. This issue would be regarded as a negative toward summerwood, however, Pete came up with a very equitable resolution for my wife and I. We also worked with a very professional fellow, Ray, who helped us with planning the retro-fit for reframing the door. Overall the experience was wonderful. Five stars - I could not recommend summerwood enough

We have a beautiful backyard shed from Summerwood. Over many years, the flower boxes rotted (as expected). When I contacted Summerwood to inquire about purchasing some replacements, they delivered to my door BEAUTIFUL, solid wood flower boxes FREE OF CHARGE. No questions asked. Talk about service! Absolutely thrilled.

Still haven’t received my Urban Pavilion but writing a review now so other potential customers can be informed about how horrible this company is to work with.

1. Whatever date they bid for your “production” add one month.
2. Whatever price they bid you add 10% the week they finally start production.
3. You cannot cancel your order even if no production has commenced and your upfront money in non-refundable even after they raise your contracted price. Even engaged an attorney to dispute.
4. You will get inaccurate plans and specs and don’t bother pouring any footers or foundations until the product is delivered. I ordered the Urban Pavilion but have received plans for a Gazebo multiple times.

Will update if the product is ever actually received.

Here is an update. Despite multiple challenges with the ordering and delivery process, once the product was received and assembled it was very attractive. It is a little more than a DIY but when finished it looks very nice. I increased the review from one to three stars.
