The shop assistant was superb

The shop assistant was superb — attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful while helping our son choose his suit for Prom. He also handled the large number of customers needing advice and access to the changing rooms with real professionalism and ease. Despite how busy the shop was, the atmosphere remained relaxed, friendly, and full of camaraderie, thanks largely to the way he engaged with and supported everyone. A genuinely excellent customer experience.

Do not buy online

Do not buy online. Impossible to return. Shirt did not fit so I returned within the 21 days. Suit Direct returned the return package saying that the item was either, worn, tags had been removed or was not fit for resale. Only one of the shirts had been opened and tired on and put back in the packaging with tags. The other fully sealed. Really poor service. Unable to upload image to support review.

Extremely poor handling of a high-value…

Extremely poor handling of a high-value non-delivery issue.

I placed an order worth almost £500 with Suit Direct. Evri marked it as delivered to a communal postal area / “enclosed porch”, not to my door, and not to any safe place I had selected. I checked shortly after the alleged delivery and the parcel was not there.

Under section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods remain at the trader’s risk until they come into the physical possession of the consumer, or someone identified by the consumer to receive them. In my view, Suit Direct’s handling of this matter appears inconsistent with that legal position, because the goods were never received by me or by anyone I nominated.

The delivery photo also appeared completely inconsistent with the size of the order. I specifically raised that the photographed parcel looked far too small to contain the items ordered, including a jacket, but Suit Direct did not properly address that point.

For a purchase of this value, I was very surprised that Suit Direct did not require signed delivery and did not give me any clear option to select signed delivery at checkout. If a retailer chooses the courier and delivery method, the delivery risk should not be pushed onto the customer where the goods are not properly delivered.

Rather than resolving the issue directly, Suit Direct’s response was to make the process increasingly difficult. I was told I had to print, hand-sign, date, scan/photograph and return a Denial of Receipt form before they would even open an investigation with Evri. When I asked why an electronic signature was not acceptable, I was not given a proper legal explanation. I was simply told it had to be hand signed because Evri required it.

In my view, this appears to create an unreasonable procedural barrier to resolving a statutory non-delivery claim. Electronic signatures are generally recognised under UK law, and I was not given any convincing explanation as to why a wet-ink signature was genuinely required for this type of declaration.

I was also told that if the signed form was not returned within 7 days, they would assume I had located the parcel and no enquiry would be submitted. In my view, that is an unreasonable and potentially unfair position, especially where the goods were not delivered to me, were not left in a safe place I selected, and the retailer’s courier evidence was weak.

This also appears contrary to the spirit of UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, which prohibit unfair, misleading or aggressive commercial practices. I consider it unfair to imply that a consumer has received goods simply because they have not complied with a restrictive internal process within 7 days.

My contract is with Suit Direct, not Evri. Yet the process made it feel as though I was expected to carry the risk and administrative burden for a failed delivery arranged by the retailer.

I am currently almost £500 out of pocket, with no goods received, no refund, and no replacement. Suit Direct’s handling of this has demonstrated a clear lack of care, urgency, and ownership. Based on this experience, I would not trust Suit Direct with a high-value order again.

Both Joseph and Martin in the Kingston store were super helpful. I needed a suit quickly for a conference, and they got my suit in and helped me get the alterations quickly. They kept me informed at every stage of the delivery so I was able to plan when to pick up my suit and collect it when I was working from home.

Received excellent service

Received excellent service at the Suit Direct branch in Merry Hill, Brierley Hill. Derek served us and was so friendly and helpful in finding the best suit for our son's prom. Nothing was too much trouble and he provided us with all the information and sizing required to successfully find the suit for our son. Added bonus of a discount as the suit was for his prom. Thank you Derek for your great service and help.

10/10 – Would Highly Recommend!

10/10 customer service! I went into a couple of other suit shops in Liverpool before visiting the store, and I couldn’t believe the difference in service. I was very well looked after, even in a busy shop with lots of other customers trying on suits. I had Chloe looking after me, and to say she is a credit to the company is an understatement. The actual suits are great quality and fit great. My partner and I have already recommended the shop to multiple other guests attending the wedding that I needed the suit for.

Wedding suits

I went in to suits direct in Kingston for a wedding suit for the groom and my ushers. Martin was an absolute godsend. He helped us with different suit choices, options, colours, all to match with a varied set of bridesmaids dresses. I've been back multiple times for changes of plans, alterations, tailoring and Martin has been there to help excellently every time. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Excellent service at MK store.

Having not bought a suit for a couple of decades and struggling to get anything elsewhere I booked an appointment at the Suit Direct shop in Milton Keynes. I was a bit early but was welcomed in and after a few relevant questions I was measured and trying on jackets and trousers. The whole process was actually enjoyable with really helpful advice from Ash I also bought a nice shirt to go with the suit. My exact size wasn't in stock at the store so we ordered it for home delivery and low and behold it was delivered less than 24 hours later ( well done Evri!). I would thoroughly recommend that if, like me, you are not sure of your sizes go to the store and get measured so you look your best.

Amazing experience at the exeter store

Absolutely amazing experience at Suit Direct Exeter!
Adam and Freya were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional—they made the whole process enjoyable and stress-free. They really took the time to find my son the perfect prom suit, and nothing was too much trouble for them! They were extremely patient.
Molly then stepped in and found the perfect tie to finish the look—she has such a great eye for style and really pulled everything together beautifully.
We couldn’t have asked for better service. Highly recommend!

Outstanding experience with Paul at the Watford Suit Direct store

I had an outstanding experience with Paul at the Suit Direct Watford store while preparing for my wedding in a couple of months.

After a disappointing experience with another well-known brand that failed to deliver on customer service, attention to detail, and overall quality, Paul was a complete game changer.

From the moment I walked in, he was insightful, intuitive, and incredibly patient. He took the time to genuinely understand what I was looking for, offered thoughtful guidance without any pressure, and made the entire process feel personal rather than transactional.

What stood out most was that I didn’t just buy the suits and accessories because of the quality (which was excellent), but because of how I was looked after. Paul clearly cares about his customers and the decisions they make — he doesn’t treat you like just another sale.

Customer service of this standard is rare these days, and it made all the difference during such an important purchase.

I’d highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for not just great suits, but a genuinely first-class experience.

Brilliant service at Kingston Branch

We visited the kingston branch and were served by Martin. He was so helpful and offered great advice on colours, sizes, etc. He made the whole experience so seamless and easy. My boyfriend left very happy with his choice of new suit.

Suits Direct - Watford branch. Great customer service.

Bought a suit from Watford branch of Suit Direct today. Paul was very helpful, honest advice, did not make me feel pressured to buy and no unnecessary up selling. Ended up spending more than planned, however this is not a bad thing because the higher quality makes it good value. He was understanding and remained calm when my toddler wanted to run around the store, the little bag of sweets he gave him went a long way to help tame him. This was my first visit to Suit Direct in Watford and won't be my last.

Only buy if you are 100% sure you want

Only buy if you are 100% sure you want - literally no way to return

Ordered 2 jackets for my brother for his wedding, so he could see which fit better
Returned the unused one ( with all its tags on) which was in itself HUGELY difficult to arrange, with emails back and forth as they couldn’t “find” order!
“Please bare with us, it might take time to come back to you… “etc

When I did finally get a label out of them and found somewhere nearby to return it, I thought that’s another job finally done.

They then sent it back to me saying you are too late????

After ignoring me for 10 days.

So delivered 24th Feb ( order on the 13th)
Started return 18th March…

Not sure now they make that over 30 days.
Oh and it came back in a crushed damaged box with a broken hanger!

So as I said, if you are 100% sure you want it and it will fit - go ahead.

If in any doubt… you won’t be able to return it and they have 0% customer service.
