I've used the site since its launch. Some time last year I guess they decided that any adult creator that wasn't making vanilla content was no longer acceptable. Multiple adult creators I personally know have had there content taken down, shadow banned or out right banned.

Now if this was a new rule or something I would get over it, but they haven't changed there TOS in 3 years. not to mention there customer service is atrocious. takes forever to get in contact with them (if they contact you back). If there is an issue with the content you make, they don't contact you, just limit your account and you have to figure it out from there.

I make art. all character I draw are depicted as consenting adults. However I guess after 3 years of using substar, NOW they have a problem with it.

Don't use substar. Literally go to ANY other adult platform to promote your adult art.

I’ve spent nearly a year trying to get basic support from SubscribeStar. My account faced unexplained payment rejections, and despite multiple attempts to contact support, I’ve received zero replies. Not even an acknowledgment.

The platform’s stance on censorship earns it one extra star—that’s the only reason I’m not giving it a flat one. But the complete lack of transparency, accountability, and Subscriber care makes it impossible to recommend.

One of the few current crowdfunding platforms that lets people have creative freedom. Nice. However they are running on a skeleton crew and their tech support can be non existent. Getting approved to join can take years or months.

Projected income earn rarely adds up to what's owned. If you wish to delete your account with all it's content, almost impossible as they won't let you if you have a single active user.

So imagine in your passing or things don't work out, they will continue to charge users and pocket funds as long as someone's still there.

I tried to make a payment to my favorite creator after they decided to move to Subscribestar. But when I try to send the money, they declined the transaction. Tried to email them what’s going on and got no reply from them. Whoever is running the site clearly do not care about their users and their money.
