It does the job but it's absolutely not quick adjust, or it's only quick adjust if there is no keyboard on the stand. The stand is far deeper than anticipated and the bars stick out from the front and back of the keyboard (even a large Roland keyboard) - this is a visual issue only as when it's all set up to the right height, the stand totally does it's job. The 'quick adjust' is a serrated hinge with a closure handle (see the pics), which is not adjustable if the keyboard is on the stand (the keyboard would crash to the floor). But once the keyboard is removed, it's very easy to adjust - but the initial set up is a hassle as you have to take the keyboard off each time to make a minor adjustment which is a pain when the keyboard weighs 30kg. I'd strongly recommend that once you have the stand to the right height that you mark the serrated hinge so you can go straight to the right setting, particularly if you use it sitting and standing, or you travel around with it (see the pic). I have marked the hinge in mine so that when the two marks line up - it's the correct height. Once it's all set up at the right height, it's great, and if you have it marked appropriately for your desired heights, it would be fine for travelling around too.
Very solid stand, doesnt feel cheap whatsoever, is very strong even when set up so that the piano is at a very low height and the stand is spread wider and obviously would have a harder time - it is fantastic, not one concern or thing that I would change about it. Very good.
Easy to setup & sturdy
A very sturdy, well made stand that is stable and easy to adjust for optimum height. The reason for only four stars is that my Roland FP30X is quite narrow and tends to slip around on the top of the tubing frame. It would be preferable to have whole of the tube covered with a rubber sleeve rather than just rubber stoppers on the ends.
