Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your concern regarding the three slabs. We understand that discovering unexpected marks can be worrying, and we appreciate you sending us photos for review.

Upon checking the images and our communication with you, the marks you observed on the underside of the slabs are actually calibration marks. These are standard features for natural stone slabs like those you received. Calibration is a crucial process performed on the back of the slabs to ensure a consistent thickness, making them much easier to lay and providing a level finish for your project. This side of the slab is always intended to face downwards during installation, making these marks invisible once laid. We ensure this is clearly mentioned as "Calibrated" along with the thickness in the description on the product pages.

As we explained in our email to you, these are not defects, and they do not impact the structural integrity or the visible face of the slabs once installed. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and have a clear, transparent policy for genuine defects, which we always honor with immediate refunds.

Not the greatest experience with this…

Not the greatest experience with this company. I would advise people to shop elsewhere. We ordered 122 slabs, 22 of them had colour defects, which Stonemart agreed they would hand pick so this wouldn’t happen again as we had a Friday deadline with the tradesmen working on our house. The following 22 slabs quite clearly were not hand picked, as 10 of them had the same colour defects and 2 were broken. We ended up losing the tradesmen laying the slabs and ended up waiting 3 weeks to get another company to finish the job, which ended up costing a lot more money. The biggest Joke to all this is Jay thinks it’s funny to start sending emails saying happy landscaping after all the wasted time and money they have put us through!! For anyone looking at this company, I would stay well away. We ended getting a lot of help from Paving Uk, highly recommend!!

We did our best to rectify the situation by sending new slabs at no additional charge, and later issued a refund of £112.64 for the final number of affected slabs to help compensate for the inconvenience. We genuinely understand that a refund doesn't undo the disruption caused to your project.

Regarding the "Happy Landscaping" message, this is a standard closing line in our emails, intended as a positive wish for all our customers. We are truly sorry that, in your specific and frustrating situation, it was perceived otherwise.

Great service

Seen loads of bad reviews about this place. But thought I would give my 2pence in. I ordered 8 slabs on 24th May to be delivered on 4th June. Left it until the 3rd of June I hadn’t had any correspondence except for conformation email. Started looking at reviews for this company and came across a lot of bad ones. Rang up 9am on the 4th of June and explained my order today and not heard anything. I believe I spoke to a lady called jay all day? She said she would ring me back in 5 mins to let me know. I explained the reviews I saw and she said she would ring. She rang back and typical the depot hadn’t scanned my item. So I thought here we go… She said she would keep me updated throughout the day and try and chase it. Anyway she rang me back again around 12:30 to say that the depot had found it and scanned it and have now sent it on its way to be delivered before 5pm. It arrived at about 4:20pm. From feeling anxious about the reviews I was so happy to see my slabs turn up and all in one piece. The only down side I would say it that I had no correspondence what so ever about if the delivery date I chose was still being honoured. It also allowed me to track them using the ‘shopify’ app. But when you go to log in with an email. There are 3 options to accept or deny all 3 only. One of them is shopify has access to read your emails? I clicked deny and it took me back to log in again. So I would recommend stonemart to use another tracking company. 5 star review because of all the bad reviews giving me bad anxiety all day wondering if I’d been scammed or if these tiles would arrive which they did. Many thanks again jay the best customer service lady I have ever encountered.

Raj Blend Riven Sandstone

We ordered Raj Blend Riven Sandstone 5 Sizes for our garden and it looks beautiful. The pattern looks great as well.It requires less maintenance and easy to clean if required.
Would recommend it for sure!!

Asked for 2 slabs of sandstone

Asked for 2 slabs of sandstone, and got one slab of sandstone and one that looked of marble and I complained.

In actual fact it seems both were sandstone - but despite it not being their fault, they took the trouble to ship another 2 slabs at their expense.

I am now a very satisfied customer, and would gladly recommend them to anyone asking.

Poor customer service

The emails I’ve just received from these days “love your recent purchase?”

Simply no I don’t, despite picking a delivery slot and paying extra for quick delivery it was delayed for nearly a week

6 slabs were unusable, I get they break in transit but to then ignore me despite several attempts to talk it though is unacceptable

Great customer service from initial call to delivery, fast delivery and polite and professional delivery guy .. would deffo use again .. only downside one tile broken when examined but not bad from 80 tiles just make sure you order more than you need

if i could give minus stars i would,

if i could give minus stars i would,
being a company owner myself and in the building trade i like to think i'm fair this company screams dodgy !!

I would NOT touch this company with a barge pole, !!ordered on Wednesday for delivery Thursday. no delivery turns up, were then told delivery would be friday am, ok things happen now it gets worse alot worse
delivery doesnt turn up, were then told between 3-5 friday i call at 4.45 to be told the delivery has till 5 oclock call back at 5 if it isnt there, to be met with there office voicemail at 5.15 why ask me to call bk after 5 if you know the office close at 5 -on the website it states 7pm
Saturday morning i called spoke to the most disgraceful human being i've ever encountered an Asian guy who laughed down the phone at me and told me its not his problem. he had no intention of listening to the voicemail i left and he wasnt interested in the fact the delivery hadn't turned up.
our builder has now been sat outside our house every morning since Thursday which i will be invoicing the company for if anyone wants these details they are - FAO vibek jain. the director. it wont let e add an email address inthe correct format but its accounts at stonemart .co.uk
Ive called several times this morning to be told the stone is driven to a company called cross country carriers where it is then collected and taken to the nearest depot.. our nice( note sarcasm) asain man told me this is ipswich for us. i will be finding there details and speaking to them today directly.
It is then collected by Palex and delivered. there seems to be alot of middle men..
The pallet has now been delivered monday at 10.30 the bottom of the pallet is smashed and this has been noted on the delivery notes . the driver also stated it was down for delivery today urgent AM. some one clearly made a balls up but wont own it. driver reassured us that delivery's are next day so this clearly hadn't been processed on stonemarts end..maybe they're trying to hold onto customers money.
when speaking with the lady this morning she couldn't even tell me who was our local depot was who transports the goods, they literally haven no idea who handling or who's moving there material around or where it is.. i for sure being in the building industry and a company owner would never use this company again i defiantly will make it clear to all our house building firms to stay well clear.
ive read other reviews and they all are the same regarding delivery. do i think this company have there own stone absolutely not they are outsourcing from elsewhere and this is why they know absolutely noting about transport and depots ! and why customers are promised items next day but they aren't being delivered. save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere
no lets cross our fingers there's no broken slabs because i will hand deliver them personally back to there lap !!

We acknowledge that your experience fell far short of the standards we strive to maintain. We are thoroughly investigating the delivery issues you described, including the communication breakdown and the handling of your order by our third-party transport partner.

As a business dealing with heavy products, we have to rely on third-party transporters for delivery. While we work closely with them, we understand we remain ultimately responsible for the customer experience. However, in the transportation of heavy goods, unforeseen circumstances can arise. While we strive for seamless delivery, last-mile situations are often beyond our direct control, resting with the driver and associated delivery staff. Even the transporter's local depot cannot always provide immediate assistance in such instances.

In this particular case, the order was placed on Wednesday, with the understanding that delivery would occur on Thursday. Unfortunately, due to a logistical issue beyond our immediate control, we had to reschedule the delivery for Friday. We promptly informed you of this change. However, it was again unfortunately delayed due to the driver's personal circumstances. We were then informed that the delivery would be completed on Monday morning as an AM delivery, and it was delivered as promised.

We would also like to remind you that it is industry-standard practice to schedule any tradespeople or builders only after receiving your order and confirming its quality. This is also stated within our Shipping & Delivery policy. This precaution helps to avoid potential costs associated with unforeseen delays or damages.

Furthermore, we wish to clarify that we directly import all our natural stone products. We have a long-standing history in the stone industry, with our promoters having family businesses in the Indian mining sector for over 40 years. This direct sourcing ensures the quality of our products and allows us to offer competitive prices.

Despite the experience you had to faced, we remain committed to resolving your concerns and ensuring your satisfaction. Therefore, we value your feedback and would like to address your concerns promptly.

Bad Experience - Would Not Use Again

Bad Experience - I would AVOID.

Not really one to leave reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion. I paid £50 for delivery of my order at point of purchase. On the day of delivery the delivery company advised that due to a road closure they were unable to deliver to me and that alternative delivery date would need to be booked. The Stonemart emailed me to advise that the cost to redeliver the following day would be £163.05 + FSC+ VAT (I assume that FSC is a fuel surcharge) Now, the road that was closed was over a mile a way from my house and despite the fact that I live in a semi-remote location there are several other routes to me - the delivery company just didnt want to travel the alternative route. After going backwards and forwards with The Stonemart via email (they refused to speak to me on the phone) they advised that there was nothing they could do and that this was final. My position was that this was an issue between them and their delivery partner. I asked to cancel the order, they stated that they would charge me £100 collection fee per pallet (three pallets) so £300 to collect, despite the fact that the stone had not been delivered to me. The issue was only resolved when I hired a van and went to the haulage company depot to collect the tiles myself (obviously at my own cost) I found The Stonemart very difficult to deal with, they would not speak to me on the phone and they didnt really care - it was my problem so to speak. So I am sorry to have to leave a bad review, but my experience was really bad.
