Steve Payne Consultants is a UK-based training provider specialising in construction qualifications and professional membership pathways. We help experienced site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors, estimators, contracts managers and other construction professionals gain formal recognition for the skills they already use every day. Our core programmes include the NOCN Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management and structured support for the CIOB Professional Review leading to MCIOB. Learners can choose a fully remote on-demand route or a structured session-based programme, depending on how they prefer to study. We also offer a combined pathway for those who want Level 6 recognition and MCIOB support in one package. What sets us apart is practical, assessor-led support. Our courses are designed around real workplace evidence and professional application, not classroom theory. Candidates receive clear guidance, flexible one-to-one support from CIOB-qualified assessors, and a structured process from enrolment through to submission and outcome. We are a CIOB Approved Learning Centre and an NOCN Approved Centre, and eligible learners may also benefit from CITB funding support on qualifying programmes. We have maintained a 100% candidate success rate for eight years for those who complete our programmes with us. That record matters because construction professionals are often balancing full-time work, project deadlines and family life. They need a route that is rigorous, recognised and realistic. Professional Training Provider

I completed both my CIOB International Construction Project Manager course, as well as the CMP to become a Chartered Member of CIOB. Throughout, both Steve and Mark were supportive, provided clear guidance and were available to answer any questions (even silly ones). The training provided was clear, concise and relevant to the real world. The course was clearly defined and made the process of becoming chartered that little easier. I would 100% recommend the team at Steve Payne should you be looking to follow a similar path.

MCIOB Certification

I was very apprehensive about doing my MCIOB, Steve, Mark and the team were legends. Very personalised service from the off. If are worried about retuning to education later in life, don't be. Get into a cohort here and you'll be just fine, recommend without reservation.

I’m delighted to have achieved MCIOB, and I have Steve Payne Consultants to thank for their excellent support throughout my journey to Chartered Membership.

From the outset, the process was handled professionally and efficiently. The guidance I received was clear, practical and tailored to what I needed at each stage.

Achieving MCIOB is a significant professional milestone, and having the right support made the whole experience far less daunting. Steve Payne Consultants helped me understand exactly what was expected and gave me the confidence to work through the assessment process successfully.

Excellent experience with Steve Payne…

Excellent experience with Steve Payne Consultants while completing my route to MCIOB.

The support and guidance throughout the process was excellent. Everything was explained clearly, I always knew what was required from me, and any questions I had were answered quickly and professionally.

The whole process was well organised and made what can be a demanding professional assessment feel straightforward and manageable.

I’m now proud to have achieved MCIOB and would definitely recommend Steve Payne Consultants to anyone looking to progress towards Chartered Membership of CIOB.
