My experance Wolverhampton branch can only be discribed as exceptional.
I collected my new all electric Urɓan Cruiser from Kal lastweek, this being the 4th Toyota he has procured for me, on all occasions I have been pleased with the respect and honesty from Kal.
I deffinatly recommend Kal and Steven Eagell at Wolverhampron for your next Toyota.

I visited Steven Eagell Bishops Stortford in view of buying a new or nearly new Yaris Cross.
My experience with salesman Surab Hussain was a pure pleasure. He was polite patient and knowledgeable.
At no time did I feel under any pressure to buy.

Had to re-visit St ives for the third…

Had to re-visit St ives for the third time ...ordered a car and put a deposit on it the car never turned up and I asked for my deposit back ...been waiting 4 weeks now so visited steven Eagle st ives was of course disappointed to find out nothing has been done and I am back to square one ...save yourselves and pick another dealership it will avoid a lot of disappointed days ...by the way this is the second review I have put on today

Highly expensive

Rip off customers. Can’t trust Steven Eagle (St Albans).
This dealer was charging me 10 times more than anywhere else. I had my car serviced.I was told car needs this and that. Extra charges were put on top of the service charge.
No customer service. This dealer is only interested to sell you the car.

Disappointing Toyota Main Dealer

My recent visits (two separate visits) were to investigate an intermittent 'Brake System Warning' light.
 
On the first visit to Wolverhampton dealer, the computer showed 'no codes' and I was advised to 'monitor' for re-occurrence. Same advice at the second visit. When I collected the car at the second visit, I asked i f a technician had been out in the car to view the symptom. Unfortunately 'no' as they were so busy. I also asked about the Brake fluid level check and was told it had been checked. My car had now been at the dealership for two separate days.

The fault returned on the way home from the dealership. I checked the brake fluid level myself the next day and it was low (on the minimum line). I topped it up myself and the warning light cleared. It's been fine since.
 
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service from a Toyota main dealer. I would like to think that the tick sheets (checklist) I get after each service confirms the check items have in fact been checked and not simply ticked off.

After 13 years of Toyota dealer servicing, I'll now be using a local independant garage.

I recently purchased a aygo x from your wolverhampton branch and the service I received from ALEEM was brilliant, he picked up my old car and delivered my néw car to my house.
Nothing was to much trouble and I'd highly recommend your services.

Despicable Treatment of Disabled people

I wish I had read reviews about this place before ordering my Motability car from them. Nothing but problems from the start: missing paperwork, manipulation, and no explanation of how to operate the car and no manual. I was pressured into taking the car even though I hadn't had my home EV charge point installed and was not able to use the car.
I felt manipulated into getting the vehicle, which suits my needs as a disabled person, before the lease on my old car was up; I was told I would have to pay a deposit if I waited until January......turns out this was a lie.
I was also promised, as part of the deal, £250 4 weeks after I took the car, however, I haven't received it 6 weeks later! The salesperson is aware that I need that money towards a wheelchair and I have tried contacting him but have been ignored and there is no contact email for the manager. Having read other reviews I can now see that getting money out of these people is very difficult.
I will be complaining to Motability too as the whole experience has left me out of pocket and the stress they put on me caused my condition to flare. This is not a company I would ever deal with again. This is my 3rd Motability lease and previous dealerships were so helpful, empathetic and trustworthy, this company is none of those things.

Terrible Service and Misleading…

Terrible Service and Misleading Promises at Toyota

I deeply regret choosing Toyota for my vehicle purchase. My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare.

From the beginning, I was met with continuous disrespect and unprofessional behavior. The staff, particularly Daniel S., was dismissive, rude, and lied multiple times throughout the process. On top of that, other staff members asked completely inappropriate questions, such as about my ethnicity over the phone—absolutely unacceptable.

Toyota’s website clearly advertises a free home EV charger installation and other benefits, but the dealership outright denied these offers, claiming they don’t exist. Despite this being part of Toyota’s official promotion, they refused to honor it. I filled out forms multiple times and made countless calls, yet received no response. After paying my deposit on 11/12/2025, I still have no car, am losing work appointments, and am stuck dealing with complete silence from the dealership. Worse still, the person handling my case went on holiday without ensuring anyone else could assist.

Adding to the frustration, I purchased a car for registration in 2024, yet I won’t receive it until 2025. When I tried to escalate the matter and asked for the complaint center’s contact details, I was refused and handed a random email address instead. This lack of accountability, poor communication, and dismissive attitude have been infuriating.

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company. Toyota, if you’re reading this, train your staff, fulfill your promises, and treat your customers with respect.

Avoid this dealership at all costs. They will take your money, lie to you, and leave you regretting your choice.

Taking a leap of faith

Having been a Ford owner for many years, I took a leap and made enquiries at Steven Eagell Toyota in St Ives. After a test drive in a BZ4X I made the jump, and it was the right choice. The vehicle is superb and the interaction and service provided from the dealership was second to none. It’s easy to picture the cliche of a car salesman.. but not at Steven Eagell. The warmth, interest and genuine interaction from Denny and Paul confirmed in my mind that the move to the Toyota brand was right for me. The whole purchasing experience was superb, so much so, my wife elected to replace her Ford with a Toyota shortly afterwards.
Excellent customer service and an excellent brand.

I have worked their and can personally…

I have worked their and can personally say I will never work or be a customer for them again and feel sorry for anyone who does.
The way they speak about all their customers behind the closed doors, one reason they will never have an open showroom they will always hide behind the doors.
The amount of new cars I seen get damaged moving around the forecourt and a quick touch up so 'they don't notice' is a joke, they do not care about the products people have spent thousands on!
I left due to the blatant racism shown by the managers at the Northampton Branch from Muzi, Amir and Anwar. Look after their own while shitting on anyone who does not follow the same culture as them. Unfair distribution between Rapid leads is the best example, everyone of the same culture as them receiving over 4 times the amount of leads as anyone who is not.
When I handed in my resignation, I was offered a move to their Milton Keynes branch, I was thinking about it until other members of staff who knew about the treatment I was getting, telling me I would be treated like that at Milton Keynes but even worse! it was bad enough as it was with managers never owning up to the unfair treatment. As bad to even say the Managers who were not the same culture spoke to me about the treatment but told me if I speak up I will be pushed out, I need to stay quiet if wanted to keep my job because it has been like this for years and they had to deal with it also!
Good luck to anyone who has a car with this place and wants to be treated fairly! They will never give you a fair price on your part exchange and will rip you off at any given opportunity, even when you go in for Service they will up sell you things you don't even need yet just to take advantage.
Get away from this place as quick as you can, not all dealerships are like the Steven Eagell Group!

Very poor attitude from the Milton…

Very poor attitude from the Milton Keynes branch. had some warranty work done and it was as if I was inconvenience to them and they did not show and customer service at all. They car they loaned me was filthy and they did not care. Will not be going back there. They need a real sort out of their staff and their altitudes.

Aygo x models

My sister and I bought 2 Toyota Aygo X cars from the Bedford Branch. Spending 37k with them. My car was fantastic but my sisters had all sorts of issues with hers as in damaged paintwork, smells from inside and then the front moulding falling off. Backwards & forward to the branch and with my sister very upset. Must say today though they have pulled out all the stops to make my sister happy with another car with a better spec, but costing extra of course! My salesman was Reece who was extremly great but Abdul & Naz have eventually made my sister very happy. Not a nice experience for my sister but it has a happy ending.

Watch out if your elderly or have no clue about cars Colchester branch

Charged my elderly mother a small fortune to clean and re-gas the air conditioning on her Yaris. It was working fine not a thing wrong with it. Used the excuse it had high levels of bacteria in it to justify the £200 job. This was an extra on a service plan my mother had on the car. Calls and emails from myself didn’t rectify the situation. Just beware..

My car went in for its annual service and was returned to me with not only parts of the service missed by a so called mechanic named Hamza, but in the condition you'd find a scrap car to be in: dented, scuffed, scratched all around! After a lot of fun & games, with several failed attempts to repair my vehicle, it is safe to say I shall never use Tamworth again!

Best advice I can give someone: Look elsewhere, you won't regret it!

Peter (Services Dept) at Peterborough

I signed a Service Plan for my Corolla in March and was informed monthly payments would be triggered at the end of April. This did not happen.... that was the bad part. I had to chase it up over two visits (person who I dealt with was 'away') and 3 phone calls.... that was even worse.
Peter, however, took charge and being aware of my displeasure, dealt with the issue on my second visit - politely and professionally - and added the extra touch of giving a special discount for my inconvenience. This just stopped me walking away. THANK YOU, Peter. You saved Toyota the loss of a long standing customer.

Peterborough branch

Bought a car from them after a video viewing and agreement that all the bodywork repairs would be undertaken. Paid a deposit and was told a likely date for delivery but date not fully confirmed.nobody contacted me to confirm actual delivery day and I had to ring on the day that had been mentioned to be told it was on the way. The car arrived on 17th Feb and although some of the bodywork issues had been resolved there were still deep scratches on the same door. Car was rejected. I am still waiting for return of my deposit. I was told this would be refunded by March 8th at the latest, no sign of it yet. It should not take this long

Terrible service and product omissions at Handover of ne wcar purchase…

I purchased a new lexus RX450 in February this year and at handover teh service and treatment was very poor. I was only given 1 key and told they had no idea when a second key would be available, ( If you lose the 1 key you can no longer use the car)
Alos I wa stold there were no lockingwheel nuts for teh car. having complained about this for sometime the salesman Dean went off and found some which then took 30 minute sto fit.
finally I was asked to sign some forms which I was unable to view as they were not available on their Ipad or could not be printed out on the computer. I refused and was told I could not have the car even though I had paid for it and the forms I was supposed to sign related to insurance products that I did not even want. The experience with the handover salesman was very poor and I will not bebuying another Lexus from them or any other lexus dealer in the future. incidently this was my third Lexus purchased from this dealership and as I hav ewritten it will bemy last.
