Ordered a dinning table, chairs, coffee table, etc., that was delivered and assembled on the day in question, whilst they took all the packaging away, a perfect service.

We had great customer service in the Edinburgh store, fantastic lady . Lovely delivery men and well delivered.

The assistant in store told us that the furniture we wanted is in store but it was not, resulting in getting it 4 months later. We were more or less OK with this. However, nobody called us to let us know about this which is not professional

I was impressed by the professionalism of everyone I dealt with during this process from the salesman to the measurer, and then the fitters themselves. People were friendly and helpful at every stage. The final result is exactly what I had hoped for and in certain ways the fitters’ work even surpassed my expectations. A special thank you to Callum at the Fort Kinnaird store who helped me through all stages of the process.

We had an issue with a sofa order and Andy from the Edinburgh store was helpful, sympathetic and worked hard to achieve a resolution that suited all. We will continue to support Sterling in the future.

Staff in store are friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately that is where the positive experience ends. Both large items arrived damaged after being delayed. Customer service aren’t really interested in concerns. They just put it on the manufacturer although one of our items was likely damaged in transit. Quality of the filling and material of the sofa is poor - it is already sagging and the covers are very ill fitting. We got some money off for the damage in the end but when we asked for assistance with the covers we ended up going round in circles with customer service and the fitter so we gave up. Wouldn’t purchase anything from them again.

The cost of delivery (£89) is extortionate.

Update on my last review. I have now waited since 3rd January for a repair to my chair and is report on a faulty couch. I spoke today to an extremely rude employee of Sterling, a Mr Andy Loughlin, who told me it was extremely reasonable to wait around seven or eight weeks and he didn't know what I was complaining about. Apparently, as the parts are coming from Germany I have to wait until they get a furniture delivery and the parts needed will be included in their order though he couldn't tell me when that will be. I note this company get 5 star reviews for their sales staff but please note that when anything goes wrong they don't want to know.

Staff in store were really helpful and the chairs I bought seem good quality. The lead time for delivery was very long though - I was originally told 9-11 weeks and it ended up being over 14 weeks.

Good choice of dining/ chairs, friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable salesman . 2 month waiting time for our chairs but we expected a bit of a wait. They arrived on time and delivered practically as soon a they were unloaded from the ship! We are very pleased with the chairs and the after sales and delivery service has been excellent.
