We're not a national chain. We're a small, Derby-based team — Jo and Matt — with deep roots in the local education community. We work with a manageable number of schools and candidates so we can do things properly, not just quickly. What makes us different? We're honest. We brief our candidates thoroughly before every placement. We turn down schools that don't treat supply staff well. We match on suitability, not just availability. I have had a very positive experience with Standby Education and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for opportunities within the education sector.

The team takes the time to understand your skills, experience, and career goals before recommending suitable placements. Their advice is always honest, professional, and tailored to your individual circumstances, ensuring that placements are well matched to your background and expertise.

A special mention goes to Jo, who has been absolutely wonderful throughout my journey. Excellent teaching agency

I have had a fantastic experience with Standby Education. Matt and the team are friendly, supportive, and attentive. They take the time to get to know you and are excellent at matching you with roles that suit your skills and preferences.
