NO MORE PROPERLY SIZED SHOES!


I've been buying Sperry shoes for decades. The majority of my shoes are Sperry shoes. However my supply is dwindling, and I've been forced to STOP buying new Sperry shoes. Why?

Because they're no longer manufacturing "WIDE" width shoes. They've decided to save a few bucks on inventory by cutting all of us "WIDE" shoe wearers. Almost 50% of the US population have wide feet.

Some are bullied into wearing shoes of a larger size to accommodate their wide feet. I will not be bullied by Sperry and will go elsewhere.

This is the result of Sperry being sold to the venture capital company Authentic Brands Group and turning it over to Aldo Group. Typical of the degrading of American corporate culture with the customer getting screwed.

Incorrectly labeled sizing on clearance

Ordered a size 9 1/2 womens boat shoe. Because it was on clearance, there are no returns. The shoe was much larger than expected for me so I gave them to my sister who wears a 10 1/2. They are too big for her also! I believe the shoe was incorrectly labeled and were on clearance as a result making the customer stuck with a shoe that couldnt be worn. Ridiculous hoops to try and correct

I ordered a canvas shoe and it does't fit well. I ordered my regular size 9 and I don't thing the shoe will stretch from what I read on line. I started an online return to receive a return label. I then realized that it takes 24-48 hours to receive the label and there is a $6.95 return charge. I also need to take it to FedEx. Why is it not possible to return it to a retail location that carries the Sperry brand? They are sold in Canada, but the size I needed was not available?
Waiting for a return label with technology today is not necessary. In my opinion this is not good customer service. Yes, I could have double checked the return policy. However, any company that makes it this difficult to return I will not purchase from again.

Bogus footwear that’s not returnable. Trash for dollars!

I just received my order for a sperry topside canvas shoe that just doesn’t fit, not even close, and the response for a return is that it was a final sale and not returnable! I think it outrageous that a firm can sell an item that lacks the quality they advertise and expect the buyer to be satisfied! Try to talk to customer service? None exists!

Sperry does not honor what they advertise.

I recently purchased a pair of Sperry boots through their website. They were offering 15% off for new first time customers. I placed the order as a guest and checked off to receive text and email sales and production notifications. I received order confirmation but did not get the 15% discount. The order is being processed but has not shipped. I called customer service and they stated that since I did not register and create a customer account I could not receive the new customer discount. It does not state that anywhere on their website. They stated if I register I can get 10% off on my next purchase.

Loyal Sperry guy but totally disappointed

I have been a loyal Sperry guy for years. I love them as my beach and boat shoes they are comfortable and have had several pairs over the years in a few different models. always going back to my classic leathers. in January I bought a set of Final Sale -Surveyor 2 Eye Boat Shoes with Flat Heel on sale. they are a leather mesh hybrid and thought they would be a good hot vacation shoe. It is now mid march and I thought I should wear them a bit to wear them in before our vacation. They are the worst Sperry and possibly the worst shoe as far as comfort I have ever bought. I know some shoes need breaking in but this is far beyond that. the footbed is horrible and the shoes pinch in all the wrong places. As a "final sale" I took a chance and failed. they will be going in the bin. They are total garbage. save your money and do not buy this model. Spend a few more bucks and go for some classic leather Sperry's with the siping on the sole and you will be happy for years. I "saved almost 100$ just to throw it all out in the garbage! Sorry to Sperry, you dropped a star on this one

I ordered a pair of boots love them but…

I ordered a pair of boots love them but the didnt fit. I tried to process a return on line it wouldn't let me. I called customer service they said it cant be returned because it says final sale. I told her when I ordered them I saw it say final sale but not about not being able to return them. Now I'm out of $70. Makes no sense why any new shoe can't be exchanged or refunded. This is ridiculous!!! I will never be ordering from them again

Sperry products made with synthetic material fall apart- Not covered under warranty

2015, I purchased what is now most similar to the Gloucester Duck Boots in a lighter brown color. I wore them for almost 10 years through Boston winters. The sole was wearing through so in preparation of needing new ones, I bought a new pair, this time in a darker brown color (not official color name). I didn't wear them immediately because I wanted to wait till the other ones were completely worn out.
What I didn't realize is some of their products are made with real leather and others are made with a synthetic... I guess I bought the synthetic. They fell apart the first time I wore them in the snow. I reached out to Sperry for help but they called it "normal wear and tear" and that the warranty didn't cover this issue.
I trusted Sperry's product but apparently boots falling apart because they are made of crappy synthetic material is my fault, not their's.
They ended the chat telling me there was no way to help me.
Disappointed that a once great company, doesn't stand by their product.

I have always liked their shoes but it seems it’s under new ownership and they not only don’t show reviews of their products, they discourage reviews. My most recent purchase was a “final sale” so no returning these shoes that run short, but also final in that I’m not buying from them anymore.

Let’s go Sperry!

Big fan of Sperry shoes! No experience with their customer service, but a large fan of their Striper storm hiker snow boot. I haven’t bought a new pair in a while as they have lasted me quite a while, but I wear them on a weekly basis! Would recommend.

Received some duck boots as a Christmas…

Received some duck boots as a Christmas gift for my daughter. As she needs a size larger, I wanted to perform an exchange. Apparently, this well-established company that should be reputable enough to perform such a common task is unable to do so. Not only that, but said shoe was labeled as a final sale during Thanksgiving weekend when most purchases made would be gifts.

To say I am totally disappointed and dissatisfied with Sperry is an understatement.
As I am fully aware that frontline customer service agents are not responsible for making company policy, I wanted to share my grievance with a supervisor. I was denied that option. What began as disappointment with the shoe and my inability to exchange for a different size (mind you, I wasn’t looking for a refund) became an unprofessional exchange with the customer service call center associate(s).

Sperry, I will never purchase your product again and I implore anyone with high regard for customer service to think cautiously before making a purchase with this company.
Buyer Beware!!!!

Good product

Good product, terrible customer service.

Slow responses, generic replies, and no real effort to resolve issues.
Orders never arrive on time, and when delays happen, there’s little to no communication.
Returns and claims become a frustrating process with zero empathy or follow-up.

👉 The problem isn’t the shoes — it’s how customers are treated after payment.

Long Shipping Time / Poor Customer Service

I placed an order on December 7th, 2025 for a pair of authentic boat shoes as a gift for Christmas. It is now December 22nd and they have not even been shipped yet. I tried to call and there was a 30 minute wait and so I tried the chat feature and it kept running me around in circles and I could not get a response their either.

Not as Advertised — Disappointing Experience

I purchased two pairs of 2-eye boat shoes—one blue and one grey. On the company’s website, the product images for both styles clearly showed shoes without traditional shoelaces (no cross-lacing). However, what I received were two pairs that do require laces to be tied, which is not what was advertised and not what I wanted.

Unfortunately, due to an upcoming vacation, I did not have enough time to return the shoes and wait for replacements. When I contacted customer service, the representative acknowledged that this issue has been reported multiple times and stated that they had already requested the website images be updated—yet the images remain unchanged.

Given the misleading product photos and the time-sensitive nature of my purchase, I requested one replacement pair in good faith. This request was denied unless I returned the items, which was not feasible under the circumstances.

This experience reflects inaccurate product representation and inflexible customer service. As a result, I will not be shopping with this company again.

CHEAP BOOTS!

I purchased a pair of rain boots just under 2 years ago.
The only time I wore these boots was when it rained.
One year later there were tears in the same place on both boots. I called the company to see if there was some compensation. These boots were 80.00. They denied any compensation.
The boots cannot be repaired and taping together is useless.

I would not recommend this company due to products and customer service. Obviously, they don't stand by their products.

Bait and switch…horrible for a business to do

I ordered parrotfish sandals for $24 with free shipping as a member. Two days later, I received an email stating that they are no longer available….yet today, I get a text message stating that they are available at a price point of $29. So for $5 they cancelled my order and now I have to wait for 10 days to get my refund
