We're sick and tired of finding expired…
We're sick and tired of finding expired products on this retailer's shelves. This evening we visited the Weslayan store to purchase some Koloa Rum Company pre-mixed drink products. The only large size bottles of the product we were looking for were all expired. Either Spec's is being duped by their distributor, or, more likely, their staff is too lazy to rotate the older products to the front when re-stocking the shelves. I say this because the most recent "Best by" date on the product at the front of the shelf was April 2023, but when I reached back behind that product hoping to find a "fresher" product, the product was dated "Best by" 2021! I pointed this out to 3 employees who were chatting in a nearby aisle, and they seemed surprised. I'm not sure why since many of the foods stocked by Spec's are also expired. NEVER EVER buy cheese from these people without finding a legible date on the package. Routinely, I've found cheeses expired for more than 6 months sitting in their coolers. Who wants to pay premium prices only to get home and find the product was expired months ago? The bottom line -- buyer beware when shopping with these people. Check for current dates on EVERYthing you buy from Spec's because their "Flagship" store downtown is just as bad if not worse!
