Received a very speedy and reassuring response from Kay and Richard at Southwest Knotweed. After searching information and images online, we were so worried and convinced our garden had Japanese Knotweed and sent photos as requested. In no time at all I got a reassuring email advising it wasn’t knotweed and could be red bistort. So glad we contacted the experts.

First rate service - highly professional but friendly and understanding. As this was an urgent survey requirement to sell a house, they took just 5 days from my telephone call to book a survey to slotting me into an already full calendar and delivering the report. I would highly recommend this family run company.

Utilised to survey, treat and excavate invasive bamboo from my front garden. Very impressed with this knowledgeable, diligent and professional team -Tom who conducted initial survey and issued a detailed informative report with suggested options , Anthony who subsequently cut and treated the bamboo culms, and then Richard and Alex who excavated, removed and disposed of all material, leaving a lightly-landscaped area. All work was conducted in a timely manner with minimal disruption, leaving me able to reseed with 2 days, and a month later have an impressive green lawn. Richard White and his family run business are excellent in what they do (and Kay too! ). They have managed our knotweed problem (over several years) with professionalism and great expertise, always being available to answer any questions or concerns. I contacted Kate at their HQ as bamboo in my garden had spread to my neighbours property, she was quick and efficient and the very same day Alex came and did a detailed survey.
On agreement to go ahead with the removal I had two further visits, one to treat the bamboo to weaken it and stop further growth and the main visit to remove the bamboo from mine and my neighbours property, this was all carried out quietly and efficiently with very little disturbance by Richard, Alex and a 3rd member of the crew. Everything was removed and tidied to the point that you had hardly known they had been there. The service also provides two further visits to ensure that there is no return growth and also provide a long guarantee for further peace of mind. Southwest Knotweed are a family business and take pride in the service they provide and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone with a similar issue.

Richard, Tom & Alex have provided us with a fantastic service - this company really does what it says it will. Kay is the Maestro back in the office - super organised and a pleasure to deal with. Tom carried out an accurate and clear survey for us; made sensible, practical recommendations and produced a detailed survey report. Alex and his colleague arrived to do the work and were incredibly efficient, very helpful and well organised. Apart from the fact that all the bamboo had literally gone from the garden you wouldn't know they had been here, working in less-than-ideal weather, doing a great job. Alex and the team at Southwest Knotweed were professional and knowledgeable throughout, and removed the bamboo from our and a neighbouring garden swiftly and thoroughly on one of the hottest days of the summer. Richard and his team did a fantastic job digging out bamboo from mine and my neighbour's gardens. They worked in a very tight space with minimal mess and left everything just as it was before they started (minus the bamboo!). They dealt with my difficult neighbour beautifully and made a very stressful situation much easier - thank you.

Highly recommended. We contracted Southwest Knotweed to remove four areas of bamboo. From arranging visit dates with the office, to the work undertaken by the guys on site, everything was made very easy and straightforward. I recently engaged Southwest Knotweed in the permanent removal of Bamboo from the garden. While looking gorgeous it was encroaching on two neighbours properties. They first sent in a surveyor followed by a work team. The job took two days, paths had to be cleared and fences removed. After the clearance, everything was put back the way it had been originally and it was as though no one had been on site. A thoroughly neat and professional job well done.

We experienced problems selling our property (for reasons completely unrelated to the knotweed issue) which took two years to resolve. South West Knotweed were extremely understanding and cooperated fully to ensure continuation of the treatment plan despite everything that was going on. They didn't exploit the situation which they could have easily done.
