Disappointed I had to pay £20 to receive a £6 box of screws I Did ask if these could just be posted but this was refused despite my saying I would take the responsibility should this get lost in post.

Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand that a £20 delivery charge can feel disproportionate when ordering a £6 box of screws.
Unfortunately, as a building materials supplier, we don’t have access to a postal service for individual orders. All of our deliveries are sent through our trusted courier network, with a standard charge that covers both the courier and the additional care we take with packaging to ensure orders arrive safely.
We do try to be very upfront about this cost, with the delivery charge clearly shown online and also discussed when orders are placed over the phone before an order is placed. While we appreciate your offer to take responsibility for the item being sent by post, it simply isn’t a service we are set up to offer.
We’re sorry the delivery cost left you disappointed on this occasion and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

The friendly and courteous driver and his assistant were very accommodating and managed to manoeuvre the delivery into the tightest of spaces, which really saved me a lot of work moving the heavy load.
