Fast delivery, well packaged, competitive pricing
I needed a good quality replacement mic stand quickly and went to the usual overseas online names to choose a suitable model, but found they couldn't deliver in time, possibly due to weight or local stock levels.
Searching for an Irish supplier who might deliver more quickly, I was delighted to find the item in stock at the Sound Shop, and with pricing very competitive with the bigger names.
I ordered just after 11am on a Thursday and it was dispatched from Drogheda later that afternoon. Their courier let them down slightly by not delivering on Friday as expected, but it reached me here in Dublin today early on Saturday afternoon.
On inspecting the outer packaging, I initially thought that the wrong item had arrived, but it turned out my mic stand box was placed inside a surplus box from a larger stand. Another retailer had shipped a previous mic stand without any extra packaging, which damaged the mic stand's box, so it was nice to see this extra attention to detail.
I will certainly be considering the Sound Shop again for future purchases.

I placed my order via website late on…
I placed my order via website late on the Friday and they rang the following morning to say they could deliver it. I wasn't expecting it for a few days. They were a pleasure to deal with and I've no doubt I can call if I have any questions. I'll be going back for more music gear.

I am sorry for the delay with your order. The product you ordered was out of stock when you ordered it and it went on back order. We were told initially that they would be here the following week, but they were delayed again. But they are due to arrive with us on Monday or Tuesday and we can send them out to you then.
BTW, which address were you sending emails to? We normally get a response out to customers within 48 hours, so Im sorry that didn't happen

In relation to stock, our products either say "In stock" , "Out of Stock" and "Available on backorder". The available on back order is mainly a feature used in the book department as we do weekly orders with our supplier in the UK. The book that you ordered was available to order on backorder, ie wasn't in stock
I have been told that the book your ordered will be back in stock with the supplier in the UK which means it will be about another 2 week wait. I can do a refund now for you if that is too long?
