**The friendliest hotel ever! ❤️**

We recently stayed at Solimar Ruby Royal and had such a wonderful holiday. From the great choice of delicious buffet dishes and the incredibly comfortable bed, to the lovely swimming pool, everything was just perfect.

What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely kind, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

A very special thank you to **Angela, the hotel manager**, who is absolutely wonderful. Her warmth, care and attention really stood out and helped make our stay so memorable.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that my little boy was actually crying on the bus home because he didn’t want to leave! 🥹❤️

Thank you to Angela and the whole team at Solimar Ruby Royal for making our holiday so special and giving us memories we’ll treasure. We can’t wait to come back! 🌴☀️

À fuir absolument – séjour cauchemardesque
Nous sommes extrêmement déçus par notre séjour dans cet hôtel. Impossible de dormir correctement : nous n'avons eu que 3 heures de sommeil par nuit à cause du bruit incessant. Entre les voisins qui faisaient l'amour à toute heure et la route ultra-passante à seulement deux mètres de la fenêtre, c'était juste invivable.
Malgré plusieurs plaintes répétées à la réception, aucune mesure n’a été prise. Le personnel n’a fait preuve d’aucune considération ou réactivité face à notre situation.
Côté restauration, ce n’est guère mieux : nourriture de cantine industrielle, sans saveur ni fraîcheur. Les boissons du bar sont tout simplement imbuvables.
Bref, cet établissement est à éviter absolument si vous tenez à votre repos et à un minimum de qualité. Une énorme déception.

We stayed in the Ruby Royal in a junior suite for 7 nights in early October ‘24.
The hotel side of the stay was good - a great room, aircon that actually worked, friendly staff, very clean, pools excellent. What let it down was the food. It could have been excellent- there was lots of choice, but it was all cold or luke warm at best. I’m not sure if the ‘hot pans’ the food was kept in weren’t working (or switched on!) or the fact that everyone (including the staff) left the lids open meant that the food was never hot. Even the items that were cooked ‘on the grill’ were cold. We usually managed breakfast and lunch but mainly ate out in the evening. Luckily the hotel is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance of some fabulous restaurants in Malia old town
Would we stay again - probably, but not as all inclusive.

We all had a great 10 days staying at the Solimar Ruby Hotel. The hotel is situated in a quiet location away from the busy strip. The pros for us was the friendliness of the hotel staff and how they go above and beyond. The food for an all inclusive hotel was excellent and plenty of choice for everyone. Having read some of the reviews prior where food was classed as a negative I really don't understand why. The Hotel was also spread with different cultures and wasn't just English or German, we met some lovely Swedish people too. So for me the cons were as follows, no offer was made for upgrades so if you had a gold band you could use the Ruby Royal hotel, along with the white band where you were offered use of both hotels. The Silver Blue band was just for the Solimar Ruby, which we were thankful for as there was more of a buzz in the larger hotel. You are only offered water bottles on the first night of your stay, and we attempted to keep ours to refill only for the cleaners to remove them from the fridge, which resulted in us purchasing more water from the supermarkets. We would stay there again, but I would not stay in the same room. It was on the road and the traffic was very noisey at night times. So overall we had a good time and would fully recommend.

5 Star Review - Excellent Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful establishment and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home.

The food was absolutely delightful - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the efficiency of the bartenders, who were able to swiftly prepare drinks without any lengthy waits. This was greatly appreciated, as it allowed me to enjoy my dining experience to the fullest.

The location of the hotel was also a major plus, with the beach being in close proximity. This made it easy for me to squeeze in some relaxation and recreation during my stay. The public transportation options to the city center were also very convenient.

Overall, I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. If you're looking for a top-notch experience with excellent service, delectable cuisine, and convenient amenities, this is the place for you. I will most certainly be returning in the future!

We stayed at the Solimar Ruby Hotel, Crete, Greece for 9 days all inclusive. Excellent manager and staff, great services, excellent quality and choice of food and drinks. We will definitely stay again. Not to close to the main strip offering quite time and only 10 mins walk to the main strip. It catered sufficiently for our family needs.
