Everything was great from the communication after my first enquiry which was fast and clear. Quote was a very good price. The day of the installation of the bird proofing Rory was on time and explained everything that was going to be done. We left him to do his thing and a couple hs later it was all done. The panels look great and pigeons are already hardly seen on our roof anymore. Highly recommend

Rory recently installed pigeon proofing to the solar panels on our roof. He provided a responsive and informative style of communication, completing a high standard of work. As other reviews suggest, Rory is clearly knowledgeable and also cares about bird conservation, going the extra mile by replacing a missing roof tile I hadn't noticed. I was also relieved no expensive scaffolding was required, using ladders and experience of using ropes safely. Was also more affordable than a quote from a bigger organisation. Having put up with pigeons nesting under our solar panels for (too many) years it was time to act, and we are so glad we chose SolarPanelProtect. Rory is a true professional, and explained everything before and during the installation of the mesh protection strips. He carefully removed old and current nests and did so without the need for scaffolding in our case. We learnt a lot more about pigeons and their habits, and now after completion it’s finally quiet in the early mornings, with no mess to clear up on a daily basis either. Fantastic experience using Rory and would absolutely recommend him. I had a bad infestation with four nest removed and a few dead bodies. Rory also removed some old gutter brushes which we used to try and deter pigeons without avail. Our solar panels were a challenge for Rory as the chimney sat in the middle of the panels. But Rory came good and pigeons are now infrequent visitors thankfully.

My problem was Jackdaws nesting under the panels,Rory came and explained how he was going to remove the nest and how he was going to bird proof the panels and clean them. He done a brilliant job of them all and I’m very pleased with the finished results.

I contacted Rory at Solar Panel Bird Protection out of desperation as I had an extremely bad problem with pigeons fowling all over my balcony. I had tried everything- sonar devices (at one point 4 of them out there!), a spike mat that had blown off in the wind and even a plastic eagle flapping about- nothing had worked.

Rory is very professional, efficient and friendly.
He talked me through exactly what he was going to do, showed me the materials that he uses - he uses top quality products that will not deteriorate or degrade over time in the sun (unlike some others).
He also explained how and why the birds were behaving as they have been, and what they would do once they could no longer get underneath the panels.
He did a very thorough, neat and tidy job at a reasonable price. There was an immediate effect on the bird activity, and one week later they have almost completely disappeared.
I would happily use Rory again for bird netting, although of course, I won't have too.
I will recommend him to anybody else I know with solar panels and bird issues.

We had spoken a number of times on the phone and I sent him photos and unfortunately we needed scaffolding because of the shape of the roof, but even so the cost was very reasonable. I don't do lots of reviews but this time I couldn't not! We needed serious help with my elderly parent's solar panels and gutters and Rory was amazing from start to finish. His communication was brilliant and he was so friendly and accommodating.

Another excellent job by Solar Panel Protect. Rory has completed pigeon proofing on numerous properties for me over the years and never disappoints. He is now using a black mesh which is virtually invisible. The work is so neat and there’s no way a pigeon is getting under those panels now.
