I genuinely wanted to support an Irish solar supplier, but my experience with Solarboss has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. It's now been over a week of delays, confusion, and broken promises — and I still don't have the materials I paid for.

Timeline of failures:

Original order: Arrived damaged (bent rails), with wrong lengths, and incorrect item counts. I refused delivery.

Second order (clamps): Shipping on a small box of clamps went from €61 to €110 for no clear reason. The seller later admitted the website displayed the wrong shipping — but that didn't change the fact that I was overcharged.

Replacement order: A new order was created with different quantities, and I had to pay an extra €50 to fix their mistake. I agreed in good faith.

Warehouse chaos: The courier called me again to deliver the exact same damaged, incorrect order I had already refused. The seller had no explanation for this.

Promised delivery: I was confirmed that the replacement order was dispatched on June 19th and would arrive within 48–72 hours. That deadline has now passed. I still have no tracking number, no delivery, and no proactive communication.

Ignored messages: When I asked for an update, I was told it "should be today." When I followed up again and said I wanted to cancel if it didn't arrive, I was met with silence.

The result:

My installation work is significantly delayed.

I've lost time and money waiting for materials that still haven't arrived.

I've had to chase the seller for every single update — nothing has been proactive.

The positives: The products themselves (Renusol) are good quality. That's it.

The negatives:

Damaged and incorrect items sent.
Unreasonable shipping charges.
Complete lack of warehouse coordination.
Broken delivery promises.
Ignored messages when I raised legitimate concerns.

Final verdict:

This company might have good products, but their logistics, communication, and customer service are shockingly poor. If you're considering ordering from Solarboss, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere — or at the very least, double-check everything upon delivery, get shipping costs in writing, and prepare for delays.

I will be disputing the charge with my bank if this isn't resolved immediately. This has been an expensive, frustrating waste of time.

If anything improves or gets resolved, I will update this review accordingly.

Pleasure to deal with. Managed to work something out that suited me well. Product looks great at great prices. I got a ja solar branded panel which after research came up as one of the top tier panel producers. I only needed one solar panel which was fine. Other companies have a minimum order of 3+ panels. Would absolutely deal with solarboss again if looking for more panels.

Quality product prompt delivery

Fast delivery, no damage, product as expected, nothing to complain about

I ordered 8 x 445W JA panels, mounting equipment and cable. The agent asked if I wanted the 450W panels saying they were the same, but with 5W extra and I accepted.

The panels were not completely black. The photo shows them as all black, but they clearly have silver grid lines throughout, unlike my Jinko Neo Black panels. Due to the planned locations, this was OK, but could have been an issue if I needed full black to go with my other panels.

The delivery had not arrived by the latest expected day. I contacted the agent who said it was marked as delivered. He quickly resolved it and the delivery arrived the next day.

The cost of delivery was a fair bit higher than expected at €320 within the ROI. It was 2 pallets at €160 each. By Contrast, I can have a pallet of coal delivered from NI for £99 (€115) per pallet/tonne, so delivery was very expensive considering the weight was considerably less, especially for the pallet with rails and cable.

One of the panels was scratched. It was the panel at the bottom of the pile. I needed to install that weekend, so had no time to request a replacement and decided to not make a big deal out of it. It's on the glass and I don't think it will impact the generation. It's worth a mention though and should be reported to Solarboss right away if this happens to you.

Everything ordered arrived. I ordered 2 different length rails (4 x 4.4m and 2 x 4.8m). They sent 6 x 4.8m rails which suited me fine. I cut them to length.

I would use Solarboss again, but would need a better rate on delivery.

Placed my order for ct clamp on the 8th of January. Took them 2 weeks to deliver instead of 3-4 working days . End up getting one elsewhere . Was going to ship it back just make no sense spending more money on postage and you also might be charged 30% restocking fee. If you looking for something solar related go elsewhere save yourself a hassle.
