Absolutely disconcerting so many poor reviews same theme wished I’d done a bit of research before I purchased a lamp. Bought a lamp in July 2024 never delivered managed to get a response in the chat website to be told at the time I purchased it it had been sold in the shop and a new one was on its way from the manufacturer. It has never arrived. Ignoring phone calls email and now it seems the website is down. AVOID.

Smallhill furniture (which I believe Chic Designs is), haven't shipped my order and they are ignoring my emails. I'm concerned that this company is a scam and I have therefore lost my money. Avoid.

So sad as judging by the earlier reviews this used to be a reputable company. Would never order from them again. Ordered a lamp on December the 18th and have heard nothing since my confirmation email. Emailed them 3 times and tried their online chat on the website and had no replies. Seems like this is a common theme with them. Shocking customer service I am just hoping they send the parcel soon or refund me

Placed an order for a birthday gift - birthday came and went. I chased the order up several times by email and phone, never received a response. Out of the blue I had a refund nearly 2 months after the order was placed - no explanation, no apology, nothing. Terrible - certainly won't entertain using them again.

I've never written a review before but I've felt it necessary with this company. Ordered 16th May, goods never arrived. Normally this isn't a problem but despite emailing the company several times, online chat and Facebook messages (as nobody ever answers the phone) I had no response whatsoever. I gave up 3 months later and on 24th August I contacted my card company who refunded me.

Item never arrived. No response to emails. No refund processed despite 3 requests

Very easy to order, quick delivery and all the products so far have been fabulous, the paints dry smooth and flat, with no fumes, easy to clean as all water based. Would highly recommend

Honestly I hate to leave a bad review but my god the service and communication from this company is absolutely awful. I ordered a coffee table on the 12th April only to have to get in touch 1 month after to ask where it was. After 2 emails that went unanswered, online chats that were left unseen and no one ever picking up the phone I started to think the company was a scam. Fortunately my phone call got answered and they were quick to blame parcelforce saying that they had tried to deliver on 2 days, I didn't get any notification of this let alone a tracking number. When I rang parcelforce they themselves had not received a tacking number so my parcel couldn't be tracked. After trying to get back in touch with smallhill there was no answer. After demanding that I would like a refund in one message my parcel arrived the next day. Over a month late and the biggest shame is that it is good but I will never order from this company again and would never recommend.

Made a purchase on 26th March of which I am still waiting for. Phoned a couple of times & emailed … eventually phone was answered & told they would get back to me within the hour … have called again & left messages all of which are being ignored, nearly two weeks later. Extremely disappointed as have purchased from this company a couple of times

I ordered 2 items on 11 March. Shipping is advertised as 3 - 5 working days or up to 14 days for furniture. A month later and I've not received either item, have had no communications from Small Hill. No responses to my e-mails, web chat or instagram messages. In fact, the web chat message I left 4 days ago, on 6 April, is still showing a status of "unseen".

I spoke to someone on the phone on 6 April and he told me that Parcel Force tried to deliver twice and gave me dates of these alleged attempts. I was home on those dates and besides, Parcel Force would have left cards. He said he'd investigate and call me back before the end of the day. He didn't and I've still not heard or received any other communication.

This morning I asked for a refund. Hopefully they'll process that faster than they have my order.

Order placed 2 weeks ago, delivery up to 14 days. Other than order confirmation, no other communication. As it is a bulky item, I need to make arrangement for somebody to be home, so few days advance warning for etd would be great, to be fair any information would be welcome. But... No response to emails, calling is useless, nobody answered and no one getting back after leaving voicemail. I am starting to worry that I am being scammed. Money gone, but no idea when and if I will ever receive my order. Got James to respond on Messenger, but after giving him order ref number he is no longer replying. At this point I just want a refund (I know, that it is not past the delivery date yet, but god help me if there is smth wrong with the order, I will be stuck). Unfortunately with my lack of luck getting through to them I have no idea if that is even possible. If you have a choice, choose a different company to buy from.

I ordered a lamp pre Christmas and requested 1-3 day delivery time. As yet I haven’t received.

I emailed on the 28th of this month and have heard nothing at all.

I haven't got the paint so I can't talk about it yet!
I am writing the review to talk about the service, first the email of confirmation never arrived until I asked for it then it has been more than a week and didn't get any email saying if it was dispatched or when will arrive, after paying delivery more expensive than other stores, doesn't seem right.
I expected that works like every other store that you can even track your package!
Today in the chat I ask, they said I should have get it by now that they will check, so now I am waiting for the answer.
Not happy with the service, I just hope that soon I get my paint.

I ordered and paid for a tin of paint on 28th March. I didn't expect a quick delivery because the following weekend was Easter. The holiday weekend came and went. No sign or shipping news at all. I sent at least 3 emails asking for an update, tried calling half a dozen times but the phone was either unanswered or went to voicemail (messages left went unanswered). I tried using their online chat facility and eventually got hold of James. He couldn't understand why the paint hadn't arrived yet and said he'd chase their courier and "be back to me shortly". He didn't get back to me. I left more messages, sent more emails. Eventually I received an email from James advising that the paint should have already been delivered, or would be with me shortly. He then sent me an email with tracking information for TNT. The tracking link wasn't recognised by the TNT website. More messages asking him to send the correct details. Nothing back at all. I did receive the paint yesterday but hit was delivered by APC.
I don't mind delayed and slow deliveries but I do expect honest and correct information from the supplier. Come on James, get your act together.

Fast, efficient service at a good price. I love the fusion paints surplied and will definately use them again.
