Incredible service

Incredible service, easy to navigate, then they did the rest. This made moving home seamless and took out any stress, meaning I could sit back and relax in my new home. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will be sure to use them again in the future!!

Easier to do it yourself

Doesn't support most of what it advertises. What it does support (utilities and council tax), took more effort from us than just doing it online. They did not update our addresses for any loyalty cards as advertised. For Thames Water, SlothMove did get in touch with them, but then Thames Water phoned us (not SlothMove!) to ask for details; would have been easier to just click the button online. For our council tax, there were technical issues (on the council side) that SlothMove did not inform us of; when we learned that the address had not been updated and tried to follow up with SlothMove, they basically explained that it's hard work and suggested we try and do it ourselves - from our perspective, the only reason to pay them instead of just doing it online (given they only support a small handful of services anyway) is precisely so they can handle the hassle on the rare occasion when it's not straightforward. They did not update our addresses on the electoral register either.

Small team ... unreliable service

I have found it very difficult to understand which organisations have registered my change of address. Several months later, many of them are still using the old address and (when it works) the Royal Mail auto-forward catches the letters and send them on. Don't know if this the fault of SlothMove or the organisations. Their responses say "we are only a small team" so I suspect they are not sufficiently staffed to provide a reliable service.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry it has been difficult to understand which organisations have updated your address.

Although we were a smaller team at the time, the address updates themselves are automated. After we send your change of address notification, each organisation then processes it on their own timescales, and these can vary a lot. Some also do not send confirmations as they prefer to contact the customer directly.

That said, I do want to make this clear for you. We can provide an audit trail showing exactly what we sent and when we sent it.

Promises a lot

Promises a lot, does less.

Only good for an individual, as you have to pay per household member.

Can't go back in and review what was sent, just a pretty but useless dashboard.

DVLA, DWP and some NHS worked fine.

Doesn't do the range of services promoted.

Am discovering services I thought were transfered weren't. Doesn't look like our water supply was transfered from Thames to Affinity.

Customer service is poor.

Needs to be clearer about its limitations (Doesn't do storecards or other memberships).

At the moment, SlothMove is primarily designed around individual accounts. A family option is already in our development plans, and we have also put a short term solution in place which will be available in late February 2026. I am sorry this was not in place in time for your move.

We are also updating the website because some older pages still reference services that have been temporarily removed, and we want this to be clear from the start.

On the water supplier point, we would like to investigate this properly, as it is usually one of the more straightforward updates.

We will absolutely be better in 2026. We have already invested in our customer service platform to improve management and response times, and we have also increased the size of our team.

I’m still waiting for an update on my question

Good morning Ann, thank you for responding to my last query that you could not find the payment I had made for my wife’s account so I emailed you back straight away and I haven’t had a response that was six days ago. Your argument is if I email you again it goes to the back of the list so I would be very grateful if you could source that email check the payment that I have made. I have given you the details for payment made to activate my wife’s account. Your product is very good, but unfortunately your customer service is disappointing. Many of these things need to be dealt with promptly. We have moved property now nearly 3 weeks ago, everything you’ve done for me is fine but we’ve had no notification on her and my only option is to put this on trust pilot because as I said emailing you seems to push you to the back of the queue. ??

Thank you for your review. I’m pleased to hear your own move updates went through fine, but I’m sorry the experience around your wife’s account has felt confusing.

I just want to reassure you that we have responded to your emails within our stated SLA 🎉

The difficulty has been that the email addresses originally provided weren’t linked to any moves or payments. So, despite replying in a timely manner, we weren’t able to locate the second account until you recently shared more detail.

Now that we have this information, we’re in a position to get things sorted for you. We’re doing everything we can to resolve this, and I completely understand your frustration. We had already been responding and actively working to unpick the issue, but I appreciate it hasn’t felt that way from your side.

We’ll continue to support you until this is fully resolved, and I’ll personally keep an eye on the case to make sure it’s brought to a close.

Works well and worth the money
