3泊4日でベトナムの ホーチミンの行きました。 今回は、 航空券や宿の予約等、全て自分自身で行い、一人で出かけた海外の旅でした。 ベトナムは、英語圏ではない国であり、 少々言葉に不安がありましたが、 無事に帰国出来ました。 63歳で 「安宿でのバックパッカーの旅」に対する経験と少しですが自信がつきました。 またこの様、ワクワクする旅をして行きます。

航空券の価格が安いサイトから順に出てくるのはわかりやすく良いのですがそれぞれのサイトで表面的な安さとその他サービスを含めた実際の総合的な安さと比べるとはじめの方に出てきたサイトが必ずしも満足できる価格であるとは限らないのでそのサイトも同じ条件で比較できるともっとわかりやすく良いと思いました。
購入手続きをしてから、直ぐに案内メールが届き、数時間後にEチケットが送信されて来ました。 とても処理が速く、安心出来ます。価格も安めなのでありがたいです。 逆に本当に飛行機に乗せてもら居るのか?と思うほど…

当初予約しようと考えていたエアラインの航空券は価格が高くて諦めるしか無かったのですが、旅行代理店が取り扱っている同エアラインの航空券がスカイスキャナーで提示されそちらで予算内で入手できました。燃油サーチャージが高騰している中、たくさんの選択肢を閲覧できるので助かりました。
往復セットによる弊害
往復セットで決まった時間なので、希望する時間と違った場合はどんなに安くても利用しないので、使いにくいなと思う部分もありました。
外部サイトに飛んで予約するので、預け荷物や機内持ち込み荷物の確認を再度しないといけない部分は、気をつけて確認しないといけません。

Disappointed by the quality of partners promoted
I used Skyscanner to find and compare flight options and was directed to GoToGate for a booking. Unfortunately, my experience that followed was extremely disappointing.
During the final payment stage, the advertised fare repeatedly increased on multiple occasions, following the same pattern each time. Temporary PayPal authorizations were also generated, creating inconvenience and temporarily affecting my available card limit.
Despite repeated reports and escalations, no clear solution or timeframe was provided. Most surprisingly, I was eventually advised to book directly with the airline instead.
My main disappointment is not only with the booking provider itself, but also with the fact that I trusted Skyscanner to recommend reliable partners. As a customer, I reasonably expect platforms to carefully assess the quality, transparency, and reliability of the companies they promote.
This experience disrupted travel plans already organized with friends and created unnecessary stress and logistical difficulties. I hope Skyscanner reviews the standards applied when recommending booking partners in order to better protect customers.

Hello Robert,
I had already contacted Skyscanner support and sent several emails regarding this issue. My case was taken over around two weeks ago, but despite multiple contacts I have not received any concrete help or update.
Unfortunately, yesterday I had to purchase the tickets anyway, and I ended up paying significantly more than the price originally shown.
I followed the procedure requested, but after several emails and two weeks of waiting, the issue has still not been concretely addressed.
UPDATE of 21 May.
I understand that Skyscanner considers itself a comparison platform and not the direct booking provider. However, as a customer, I struggle to accept the idea of having absolutely no responsibility in situations like this.
If I buy a product through a platform that actively promotes and directs me toward a partner, I naturally place trust not only in that partner, but also in the platform recommending it. Skyscanner placed Gotogate in front of me, associated its own brand and reputation with that option, and guided me there.
If a partner repeatedly creates serious issues for customers, can a platform simply say: “we are only a comparison site” and walk away entirely?
My point is not that Skyscanner directly caused the issue. My point is that when a company guides customers toward specific partners and benefits from that relationship, customers reasonably expect at least some level of accountability and protection.
I appreciate Claire’s support and the effort being made, but after being forced to spend more money on a replacement flight, reorganize my trip, and now travel separately from my own group of friends on the return journey, I believe this situation goes far beyond a simple inconvenience.
