Boric company has a zero-wear-and-tear policy!
Boric company is a Curacao rental place with one single location, 5 minutes away from the airport. They have a zero-wear-and-tear policy! Get ready to pay for any tiny dent, scratch or mark. When you take the car, they take pictures of everything, and once you return it, they will find something. They will not give you the ride to the airport until you sign the paperwork, which will incur a $1000 charge to your card. They don't care about your flight and will make you miss it if you don't sign the papers. Curacao roads are undeveloped and narrow. To get to any beach, you will drive on unpaved roads. The little stones will fly and make some small marks on the car. Trust me, they will make you pay for it! The car we got was 3 years old, couldn't climb a small hill, and had numerous dents, scratches, and marks. They still charged us $1000 and dropped us at the airport 25 minutes before departure. I was frustrated because four of us were missing the flight, and I didn't understand why I had to pay $1000 to them. They kept telling me: "Calm down!" with such an attitude and ignorance that made me sick! Do yourself a favour and avoid ruining your vacation by dealing with this company. Rent from any big companies that know that wear and tear is a normal occurrence when you drive a car! I've rented cars all over the world, and this is the first time I've had such an experience... The $50 you might save at the beginning by renting from them can turn out to be a $1000 loss at the end! Avoid at all costs!!!!!
