Terrible. Thieves that lied. Ruined our trip
Our expensive family vacation was completely ruined by SkyRun, and their handling of the situation was nothing short of deceptive.
We arrived at our rental to find major appliances completely broken, leaving us unable to cook or even make coffee by the pool. Worse, advertised amenities like a beach cart were missing, forcing us to lug heavy gear by hand. The property itself was much older and smaller than the deceptive listing photos suggested.
However, the physical issues with the house pale in comparison to SkyRun’s shocking disregard for guest safety and professional ethics:
Severe Security Breaches: SkyRun handed out our private door passcode to random "trusted neighbors" and a repairman so they could enter during our stay. They even gave my personal phone number to the repairman to text me directly. After multiple strangers had access to our code, they flat-out refused our request to change the passcode.
Evading a Paper Trail: The rental agent went out of her way to keep all communication off the booking platform. She refused to put anything in writing, insisted on phone calls, and actively tried to solicit us to bypass the platform for future bookings in exchange for a direct discount.
Bait-and-Switch Refund & Extortion: The agent explicitly promised us a full refund over the phone if we checked out early. Once we vacated, she backtracked, offering less than half and claiming "full refund" only meant their "company profit" portion. They then held even that partial refund hostage, refusing to release a single penny unless we signed a legal document promising not to leave them a bad review.
We refused to be bribed into silence. We bypassed SkyRun entirely, took our evidence directly to platform support, and secured our $1,000 refund through them. Dealing with this company was an absolute vacation killer. Do not trust SkyRun with your money, your vacation, or your family's safety.
