The blinds were so easy to install. They came already set up so all we had to do was fit them into the skylight frame. They fit really well and look great. They have really made a difference during this hot weather.

I found this company to be both very helpful and efficient in the way they conduct their business. The quality of their product is excellent and they provide very accurate and easy to understand instructions for their product.

Steve and Naomi have both been very helpful in the process of selecting a blind for our lantern . Right from the beginning i have felt that we made the right choice in purchasing from Skylight Blinds Direct .
Our lantern is 4.1 x 1.2 metres - a biggy indeed. Our only option at this size was a dual manual blind. We are very happy with this , as it is easy to open and shut with the supplied pole - and there are less complications .
I will be honest - at the this size of lantern it is not the easiest of DIY jobs assembling and fitting the blind. But nor was it too difficult as i consider myself a competent DIY-er. I used a laser measure to get the required measurements of the lantern "well size" .
When it came to fitting the assembled blind unit it was definitely a two man job to get it in place . I used some partly drilled in screws to hold the whole unit up in the well temporarily, as i worked out the exact locations for the fixings in the plasterboard . i used special plasterboard fittings to finally secure the side rails in place.
We are very pleased with the end result . And it is definitely keeping a lot more heat out of our kitchen than before we fitted it.

Initially I was concerned about measuring myself and fitting, after speaking on the phone, discussing options and having the benefit of a lot of experience and advice, I measured and ordered.
I was also concerned about fitting, I arranged a friend to help, once we started fitting took a total of less than an hour.
I am pleased with the product quality, how easy it was to install and the price.

The initial contact and help with the measurement processes were both excellent and the installation process was easy to follow - just make sure you read the instructions. We went for the solar powered system with a fixed control wall switch. Our blind was for a large and high pyramid skylight about 1.6 metres square on a S/Westerly facing conservatory which was normally flooded with sunlight and is now far more relaxing and cooler in the summer months. I would most definitely recommend this company.

Made to measure,perfect fit.
Slight delay on delivery but worth the wait.
Fitted the skylight blinds ourselves, I would not recommend doing this unless you are proficient at DIY.
Overall very pleased and would recommend, the blinds have transformed our kitchen dining area. The blinds do trap the heat above so any gaps should be filled with exterior mastic not caulk as this shrinks in the heat ( found this out recently)

The support from Skylight Blinds throughout the whole project has been 1st class.
The build instructions and the installation went without any problems.
The blind is now in use and we are very satisfied.

Brilliant blind made to measure to cover over a skylight in the kitchen. Easy to install and fits perfectly. Quite expensive but well worth it to future proof the house against hot weather. Once installed it will last years so a great investment for your home. Thoroughly recommend and they give five year warranty.
