I would like to express my appreciation for the training delivered by Matt. He was an excellent teacher who provided clear, thorough guidance throughout each task. Under his instruction, I learned how to set up control points and carry out levelling using a dumpy level. He also taught me how to use secondary control points to check the plumbness of a building, as well as how to set out drainage runs accurately. In addition, Matt introduced me to key instrument functions such as volume calculations, measure-to-line, and stakeout. His teaching has significantly improved my confidence and competence on site.

I had an amazing on the course lead by Matthew. As a placement student, this course needed to be clear and simple for someone like me that had not had much experience in setting out. He made sure that all of us understood everything, and anything we needed he made sure we had. Would definitely recommend and once again, thank you Matt!

I recently completed the 5-day Total Station Setting Out training with Matt Hughes in Northampton, and it was great.! Matt started with a 1-2 hour briefing on the equipment, followed by hands on practice using robotic total station tools outdoors. The practical knowledge gained was really useful for on-site surveying. Highly recommended this course.

I had taken a weeklong course in engineering surveys and setting out. I had an amazing experience. Throughout the training session and beyond, our amiable trainer Matt was always available to help. Engineering surveying skills with robotic total stations, dumpy levels, rotating laser levels, and piper lasers were greatly enhanced by the training.
