Very easy process and always excellent customer service

Excellent cover at a great price compared to the "rip off" prices offered by hire car companies.

Easy to take out a policy. Cheaper by far. No claim required and I will definitely use again.

I needed excess protection at short notice for a rental car from Enterprise who wanted to charge me £64 for three days. Found Simply Excess through the Martin Lewis website and their charge was only £8, so very good value.
Arranging and buying the policy was quick and simple. The policy was clear and easy to understand. Simply Excess also sent some useful advice shortly before the vehicle return was due on what to do when returning the car.
I cannot comment on their customer service for any claim as I fortunately did not have to make a claim.

Saved me £42 a day that the rental company was trying to charge me for the same cover.

Did what it said on the tin - Provides the peace of mind knowing that you are covered should one of the car rental companies tries stealing money from you. Lets face it, their all sly and want any excuse to take money!

5 star from me for the simple process of purchasing, their competitive price and the information they give you on how to navigate the car hire world.

Thankfully didn’t need to make a claim, but the price and particularly the advice they give is extremely useful.

I used simply excess in 2025 and needed to claim after hire car was scratched. They settled claim without any quibbles.
Hence I used again this year for SA trip, very easy to arrange.
Fortunately this year I didn’t need to make a claim.

Communication from SimplyExcess was great and very helpful both at the start and the end. The email reminders with tips and advice did help

Super easy to use and take out the right amount of cover I needed for my car hire. Excellent comms - just the right level of emails. Great price compared to what the car hire place quoted (ca. £90) so I saved a packet - would recommend for sure.

Excellent service including good advice on steps when collecting and returning car

I got a car hire supplementary insurance from them.
Unfortunately I damaged the rental car while parking, and the rental charges were high.
SimplyExcess paid me the charges in full on receipt of the supporting documents. I would certainly use them again (though I hope never to have to make a claim again).

A very easy and cheaper way to get car rental Inssurance cover. Did not need to use, but the process look very easy.
