Simpel Sourdough is driven by the passionate sourdough bakers, AnneSofie and Peter. Located at Fischers Plads in Viborg, Denmark, Simpel Sourdough is both a café and bakery. In addition to their delectable offerings, Simpel Sourdough also offers courses, including online options. The webshop is personally run by the owners themselves, and their tools are locally produced. The majority of their core products are handmade by the skilled craftsman, Jan. Since 2019, Simpel Sourdough has been helping both Danes and English speakers master the art of baking sourdough bread. It all began on YouTube with the channel "Simpel Surdej" and later "Simpel Sourdough." These channels still exist, offering a wealth of exciting learning and fun videos.

Ærgerlig oplevelse!

Vi havde taget turen fra henholdsvis Århus og Holstebro og mødtes i Viborg for at besøge simpel surdej. Vi kom en lørdag kl 13.30. Vi kom til et fuldstændigt tom bageri. 2 rugbrød tilbage. Vi besluttede at tage en kaffe og alligevel få stemningsoplevelsen. Vi bestilte to flat whites - der gik lidt og vi fik at vide “vi har desværre ikke mere mælk”. Så alt i alt en virkelig ærgerlig og skuffende oplevelse!! Vi gik og nød kaffen et andet sted.

Great turnaround on my order from 5000 miles away. Super impressive. The sourdough proofing baskets and the hand forged steel bread knife are my new favorites possessions! The best bread tools anywhere!

Trop beau!!

Le porte lame et le coupe pâte sont trop beaux.
Il me tarde de les utiliser.
Par contre long à recevoir, plus de 2 semaines.
Sinon c’est cool
Et continuez les vidéos sur Youtube, c’est ce qui m’a motivé à passer mon diplôme de boulanger et monter ma micro bakery!

This is a cozy and delicious bakery! 🥯 🍞 super helpful staff. I chose flour and other small things to bake my first bread and they really helped me a lot and they were very nice! Tak for det!
