Simply wonderful
We have been using silk pillowcases for a couple of years but after buying some from a well known High Street Store which were £60 each and fell to pieces after just 6 months, wondered if they were worth replacing. Then I came across the Calidad site and decided to take the plunge and buy another set.
They arrived a couple of weeks ago and they are simply fantastic. The quality of the silk is easy to see and feel and the stitching and overall product is far superior . The biggest difference I’ve found is with my hair which I tend to have to wash every day. But since using these my hair is less greasy than it has been after sleeping on my old pillowcases.
Definitely looking to buy another set.

Lovely pillowcase. Excellent delivery. Slightly disappointed to see that the label said designed in the Uk, but made in China. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

I just wanted to quickly advise on the Made in China part. Although we have designed the product here in the UK, China have been perfecting silk production for over 5000 years and produce more than 80% of the worlds silk. Their manufacturing processes are second to none and the very best Mulberry, Long Strand, A Grade Silk that we use comes from small silk farms in Suzhou, Hanghzhou and Shanghai regions of China. Before launching the business we did look at a number of options to have the silk shipped to the UK and use a local producer to put together but we found cost and quality of craftmanship for this most fabulous of fabrics did not match what we found in China.

Happy with my purchase
I purchased this as a luxury product for myself after reading about the benefits of sleeping on a silk pillow case. I have been sleeping on this pillow for several nights, its very comfortable, cool and ive noticed my hair and skin are smoother. I have given this 4 stars.. I took one star away as i think the packaging is a little inferior for a luxury ptoduct. It would have been nice to have a beautiful box and wrapped in tissue paper..then i would have purchase more to give as gifts for friends and family. I do believe that when you are spending a lot of money for luxury, care and attention to packaging adds that little extra.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it really is greatly appreciated.
I agree as a luxury product maybe the standard packaging does not give that ‘WOW’ factor on arrival. We are always looking to see how we can improve but also how we ensure that we use sustainable resources and keep costs down for customers. Our silk comes from China (the very best silk comes from there, they have been perfecting their trade for more than 5000 years….a tad long than me!!) and due to the way its shipped they have to protect it individually in a plastic bag. Rather than dispose of this I use it as an additional bit of security to ensure that during transit from us to customers it doesn’t get exposed to water (rain) or damaged in any way.
We package like this for those customers who are not concerned about how it arrives for their benefit (i.e. its usually just for their personal use and not for a gift, so once this has been disposed of the product itself gives that all important WOW element), so we provide the bare minimum (again bearing in mind what needs to be disposed off) to ensure the silk arrives in perfect condition and ready to use immediately. The cost of sending this package we’ve also had to consider in order to keep the price down for our customers to an absolute minimum and there has been a number of changes over the past 6 months to make sure costs are not being passed on for this element. What I wanted to highlight is on our website we do have a packaging option that for presents may suit you better. The box is rigid, glossy and very beautiful….a show stopper of a present to receive. However although the product itself is no different from the one you have received, the cost of the packaging and posting means there is a difference of £10 to send by this method, if you wanted to buy this for your family/friends.

Calidad Home are great, The pillowcass arrived the day after I placed the order and the communication was excellent. The product is so worth the money spent already. I will be purchasing some more of these at a later date

The Silk gave me nothing. Just a bill. Hype!

You mention you tried it side by side with a cotton one and am sure you can see how silk differs greatly from cotton with its look and feel if nothing else. It may be that you prefer cotton of course but you can't deny the quality of the product and perhaps you might not have taken time to fully test the benefits of silk yet.
As a small family company our service and support I hope is second to none, don't give up on the idea of using silk, there are very many genuine benefits and please remember there is a 30-day money back guarantee with all of our products, which you haven't approached me on yet to discuss at all.

EXCELLENT CHOICE
I looked at a lot of pillowcases and read a lot before deciding on this company. I made the right decision. I sleep so much better and I was having rouble breathing in the mornings which has completely vanished from the very first night of changing to a silk pillow and pillowcase. I threw out expensive down pillows and have replaced them and can't believe what a difference it makes to how I feel when I wake up in the morning.
