I travelled up from London specifically to visit Sigma Sports Oakham after a personal recommendation, and I am genuinely glad I did.

I booked a bike fit with Andrew Shore and, as a complete day-one beginner to cycling, I wasn't entirely sure what I was walking into. Andrew made it comfortable straight away. He was calm, friendly, and very generous with both his time and his knowledge, without ever talking down to me or overcomplicating things.

What stood out most was how well he listened. He took the time to understand what I wanted from cycling and where I am actually at, rather than where I might end up someday. Everything was explained clearly and practically, which made a big difference as someone new to all of this.

Crucially, there was no sales pressure at all. I never felt like I was being nudged towards upgrades or bundled into buying things I did not need. That lack of pressure made the experience far more relaxed, and it is the main reason I would happily go back.

A very solid, reassuring experience overall. If you are new to cycling and want honest advice rather than overly sales-driven, I would strongly recommend Andrew and the Oakham team. They know what they are doing!

Placed an online order - it was easy enough to find what I wanted and there is a comprehensive range of cycling products. Nicely packaged and delivered in good time. Separately, the cycling specialists / staff at Oakham when I popped in the store were friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

I usually love visiting the Sigma Sports Oakham store, normally very attentive and polite. This mornings experience went in reverse… I was ignored for several minutes waiting at the counter whilst there was staff free throughout the store. Then a Sigma assistant finally walked up to the counter where I attempted to make eye contact, and I even said “Hi”, only to be blanked as if I was invisible. He walked past me twice ignoring me completely. I eventually got served by the chap manning in the Service Workshop counter who was really pleasant. The assistant that had ignored me previously finally said hello but their tone and body language was not approachable and pleasant, which like I’ve said is completely out of the ordinary experience I usually have. Hopefully just a blip in an otherwise pleasant history.

Kane was really communicative throughout the whole purchasing process, very prompt to respond to queries. I collected the new bike today, it was very carefully fitted, seat height, pedals, etc. and with every aspect clearly explained, and no condescending comments, despite my lack of technical bike knowledge! Really helpful with the finance process too. Would definitely recommend. The bike is quite pretty and shiny too!

Didn't have item in shop but Will was very helpful and ordered for me to hopefully be delivered before Xmas .

Have been use sigma sport for few years ,mostly bike cleaning products and bike services, cycling ware .never disappointed. Delivery on time,well packed ,they have a good solid team ,friendly and professional. Highly recommend 👌

First class service from start to finish. I was interested in purchasing a Pinarello. Will was fantastic at providing quick feedback to my questions and very supportive throughout. He made the whole ordering process easy and assured me I was in safe hands. Coming from Scotland I was apprehensive travelling 6 hours each way but I had nothing to worry about. On the day Uldis was excellent and took time at every stage of the fitting process to make sure that I had the bike set-up for me. A very personal experience which really made the day very special. The mechanic also quickly adjusted any changes identified by Uldis which on the day was brilliant.
Both Will and Uldis really set the benchmark that any other cycle shops can only dream of emulating. I would have no hesitation to travelling that same distance again for any future purchases.
My wife and I would also like to thank Stevie Nicks who enhanced the customer experience. Many thanks to the team at Oakham, you all surpassed my expectations. Many thanks.

I can’t fault Sigma and now use them in preference where possible. Support is always top notch, the ability to order with a deposit then try is invaluable and nothing is too much trouble.

What’s App support is new to me, normally the contact us is an email chain where you feel you wait forever.
This is a novel and very quick, efficient and effective method that rates as 5 star for me.

Awesome support and the experience in store on collection was second to none apse.
