I wanted to say this company is…

I wanted to say this company is absolutely amazing! Their customer service is excellent, never ever I received such good service, friendly professional staff and, every single time I call or visit the storage they are helpful, all of them are stars. Place is clean and well organised, good price and locations. Thank you to Claire this morning for helping me confirm my changes and move to a different bigger unit. Thank you, all of you, I wish all services worked as well as yours ❤️

Very Inconsiderate and greedy

I have been a costumer of shurgard and cancelling your unit was easy before just a call and they’re helpful.

But now I was only one day late from the 15 days notice and I have been contacting and emailing to help resolve but no response back.

It’s so inconsiderate and greedy of them to still ask money when I no longer need/ use the storage.

No manager can help either!! Will never rent a storage here ever again!!

Greedy bastards...

A few months ago I had something in the smallest storage Shurgard has at their South Ruislip location. After two months I decided to take my stuff out but forgot to send them an email in time...so I literally sent the email a few hours after they have sent me the invoice which is 15 days before the date I would have to pay again which is obviously a payment in advance.

Now because they reserve the right to get the money because of that invoice 15 days before the due date...even though one decides to leave immediately after that invoice, because I consider that to morally wrong I decided not to pay... because if I move my stuff 15 days before the due date I shouldn't be having to pay for another month in advance.

Greedy bastards now have sold my 99 pounds that I supposedly 'owe' them to a collection company. They think they can intimidate me....hahaha wrong person fools.

But they literally have no idea that when something is morally wrong I won't pay no matter what you would do to me.

I don't care about police bailiffs court order ...credit score or anything...so get screwed you Incompetent clowns.

There was a signal failure in the…

There was a signal failure in the Euston storage location meaning myself and my friends that were helping me move were locked in the corridors. We had to use the goods lift in order to get someone to help (thankfully there was a shurgard person onsite that day, there wasn’t the following day which might have been a problem if we were stuck again). Also it can be dangerous to use the goods lift, it specifically says not for people to use.

I have been a customer of Shurgard…

I have been a customer of Shurgard storage for a few years and constantly they lie about lowest prices, but in reality, they raise the price of the unit ANY time without notification, like my unit price suddenly was increased by 25% 10 month after I moved to a smaller unit ! I had no means of complaining because they do not answer on emails. The only answer from them is to move to a smaller unit, however, after few months they will again increase the price of the new unit which means you just waste money on movers. Terrible experience, lots of manipulation with price and lots of lie! In Wandsworth there is no office and nobody to speak to, they offer you to go to Putney, but Putney office staff just ignore your complaints. Not nice to the customers, I can only advice: Stay away if you can!!!

I had problems but they were resolved quickly.

I couldn’t access the facility using the Shurguard app, the code it was generating didn’t let me in, but customer service were extremely helpful when I called them explaining the situation. I didn’t even have to wait that long to talk to them either, I was through in less than a minute.

There are toilets in the facility

There are toilets in the facility, but we can not use them (what is extremely problematic when you need to sort it out things in your storage).

Also, in the downstairs area phone service doesn’t work and there is no WiFi. Leaving you unconnected and uncontactable.

Altogether the staff was pretty helpful…

Altogether the staff was pretty helpful over the phone but there were a couple of confusing points, like I got to my storage on moving day and my code didn't work so I had to call again, and then they said I needed to go to their office to show proof of my insurance cover but it seems like I could have spared myself the trip and just sent it via email.

Also, I got to the storage and loaded everything on two carts and got them in the lift only to realise they don't fit through the doorframes in the corridor so I had to go back in the lift and repack everything on a smaller cart. The security guy was quite helpful but didn't warn me about this, presumably maybe because he didn't realise that was the case but it just made me wonder why they even have carts that don't fit the space.

Overall happy with the service, just seems like a couple of things didn't make sense and could be improved.

Excellent storage facility

Easy to rent a storage unit online. The unit is ready and waiting for you on the day. Very secure to enter the building and they have a lift and trollies available for you to use. Very clean and tidy and right in the centre on London
