The whole process is very easy to use. A well thought out plan to run the service. Price is competitive but could be better, ie insurance should be included in the price model. Using there service you would expect them as a company to be fully insurred.

I am a Shurgard customer currently and I agreed and signed a contract at a certain price. Now I received a notice of a 35% price increase for the unit rent which I neither consented to, nor is it specified in my contract. I've only rented for 3 months at the time of writing this review which is way too soon to even consider a rent increase. I'm not even around to go and move my stuff so I'd be stuck paying it. I'm sure this is illegal and I'm considering taking them to court.

I visited your site and saw the space that I needed. I was encouraged to do the paperwork on line. I went on the web selected the storage space needed. Here is the but, there is default that gives you the "value added"storage. I did not see this. This is according to the company. What I then got was a space with a sloping roof. This was sold as the sq feet purchased. So crooked. I then had to buy the original space that I saw and the prices had gone up because of demand. Why can't you guys be straight and honest? I am sure you will give the usual excuses. I will add the staff on the floor are great this is not their fault.

Well what can I say about my dear Brad! He went over and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our choice of size. We think he needs a raise and a promotion because he's the best man Shurgurd has ever employed. His smile and mannerism is awesome.

Great location, plenty of sizes to choose from. Customer service is brilliant! BRAD was very accommodating, honest about charges and options, helped me figure out whats the exact storage i need. He was very transparent and helpful all the way, top guy! The process is straight forward, the building very secure but still have the option to get in and out as you wish.

I rented a small unit for 3 years, in that time the monthly payments went from 59GBP a month to 97GBP per month. When I moved out, I was told my payments were up to date and the account was closed, however a couple of months later I received a letter from their debt collection agency demanding further payment, even though no invoice had been sent from Shurgard. I emailed them and they ignored my email. Then I received a 'Final Notice' from the debt collection agency. I called them and they said the matter was closed and it was just an automatic letter, but to call Shurgard and discuss the matter with them. The lady (I use the term loosely) that I spoke to was rude and aggressive, threatened me with police action and put the phone down on me. Appalling treatment. UPDATE; Shurgard have been provided with the details, as asked for but have not yet responded or acknowledged my email yet again.
