Really poor experience with Showplates World.

I ordered my plates on Tuesday before 5pm, and their website clearly states same. day dispatch for orders placed before that time. I also paid £9.99 for the faster delivery option because I needed the plates urgently.

I expected them on Wednesday, or Thursday at the absolute latest. When I called on Wednesday, I was told I would receive a tracking number, but by Friday I still hadn’t received the plates or even the promised tracking information.

At that point I had no idea where the plates were or whether they had even been sent.

The most frustrating part is that the website gives the impression of a very fast service, yet the actual experience was poor communication, no tracking and no delivery. I had paid extra for faster postage, yet ended up waiting as long as the standard delivery window anyway.

In the end, because I needed the car for the weekend, I had no choice but to cancel the order, get a refund and have the plates made elsewhere.

Really not good enough, especially when customers are paying extra for an expedited service.

I ordered from this company after reading the reviews on trust pilot and having been let down by a previous company. I ordered using the express delivery option as I couldn’t rely on using the standard service (3-5 days) as we were going away and although it would have been ok if they came on day 3 or 4 I couldn’t wait until day 5! Our plates arrived 5 days after ordering- despite using, and paying for the express delivery option (£9.99) and despite e-mails asking why my product hadn’t been dispatched yet. As such, I had to go and have them made locally in order to travel and therefore I am now out of pocket. I have tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt but not one email has been replied to and I’m left with a set of plates that are no longer required and that didn’t arrive using the express service. I feel that the delivery options are very misleading and the communication from this company is somewhat poor. Buy your plates from local services and do not trust companies such as this.

To be honest the plates were delivered quickly and came out perfectly. The issue I thought that I had was that the plates had a blue tint. So I contacted the team on all mediums, it turns out I hadn't taken the plastic film off the top, but they treated me with patience and politeness, much appreciated!
