Beautiful fabrics, Appalling Customer Service
This site offers beautiful fabrics. Unfortunately, I received a fabric in a color I did not want because the color as displayed did not appear to be as accurate as depicted, either owing to lighting or monitor settings. I asked if I could exchange it -- NOT even refund -- for another fabric which was closer to the desired color. They refused, based on what they deemed to constitute a European user, and apparently, anyone living in Switzerland is not considered a "natural person in one of the European Community countries" notwithstanding Switzerland/EU bilateral treaties, being part of Schengen and the EU being Switzerland's biggest trading partner. I have never encountered this with any EU vendor I've purchased from -- whether in Germany, France, Sweden, etc. All have applied European Legislation and its terms regarding the right of returns and withdrawals --- all, except New Tess. They claim it is because it would cost them more to re-import the goods. The real reason, however, is that they do not participate in the EU Returned Goods Relief which would require them to complete the correct paperwork. Translation: they're too lazy to be bothered. This is disappointing, to say the least, and shows carelessness from their side about non-EU buyers. They offered a discount coupon on a future purchase! Big Whoop! I am now stuck with fabric I cannot use after paying €118. I will never buy from them again! Avoid! There are more customer-friendly places to buy from.
