I am writing this review to caution others based on our recent experience with Shokworks. We hired them with the expectation of receiving a dedicated team of five full-time engineers to drive our project forward. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the contractual promises.

Throughout the engagement, it became increasingly clear that we were not receiving the resources we paid for. Despite the agreement for five full-time staff, the output and communication suggested that, at most, only one engineer was actually working full-time on our account. The lack of progress and transparency eventually forced us to scale the team down to a single engineer, as it felt like that was the true level of support we were receiving from the beginning.

Furthermore, upon doing deeper due diligence after these issues surfaced, I discovered public records of lawsuits filed in Miami-Dade County against Shokworks alleging similar instances of non-delivery.

It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a full-scale engineering team only to receive a fraction of the promised effort. I would strongly advise any business considering their services to perform thorough background checks and ensure strict oversight on resource allocation.

I resigned from this company in July 2023 after almost 4 years. Despite fulfilling my obligations, including working the required days after notice, the company withheld payment for my last 21 days of work. They cited a LinkedIn comment where I voiced legitimate concerns about this incident as justification.
This wasn't an isolated incident—multiple ex-employees have shared similar stories of not receiving pay for their final days worked. It feels like a pattern of withholding earned wages over personal or social media feedback.
I strongly advise against joining this company. Protect yourself by documenting everything, knowing your rights, and being prepared for potential delays or disputes over final payments.

Additionally, their management team is always going way beyond the call of duty to make sure their clients achieve, not just their tech goals, but all sorts of new ways that help their clients create additional value. They're a great group, pleasure to work with them.
