Very happy indeed- excellent service provided by Shires and would highly recommend.

Big Thanks to the team at Shires Removals! On the 9th /10th Dec they provided us with an excellent service. Gareth, Ryan & Josh did a great job & took the stress out of moving.
They were a good team to have around, they did most of our packing & then worked till they had us settled into our new house.
I would certainly recommend them & if we ever had to move again we'll be in touch.

Firstly we were very impressed with the crew who loaded at St Margarets, they loaded in what I consider in good time and with great care. So much so that they loaded and unloaded in reasonable time.
Sadly I cannot say the same of the crew which did Stoops my sons home, , it took them around five and half hours to load a vehicle slightly larger than the one used St Margarets my home, loading boxes from various different rooms and appearing to struggle with how to load the vehicle. They had numerous cigarette breaks and at one point actually took one inside the vehicle, I presume because it was raining in the morning. On arrival at the new home it then took them around four hours to unload again interspersed with cigarette breaks. At this point I must raise my hand and admit that I had forgotten that my son had a side shed and to their credit the St Margarets crew returned loaded and unload, and completed just as the other crew were finishing. This resulted in a bill roughly three times the amount quoted, due in part to the additional charge of £80 an hour over and above the prepaid 5 hours per unit. We have just in the last few days started to organise boxes etc, due to everyone being ill for around a three week period and found that my sons derailleur wire on his mountain bike was snapped clean off where it enters the derailer hub, the bike shop have quoted us around £50 to replace. So you will understand that we have very mixed opinions re the move and if asked would have great difficulty in reaching an opinion or indeed recommending this removal company

A superb company to deal with. Accurate quote based on visiting in person. Friendly staff with excellent communication throughout. Efficient and organised removal and delivery on the day. No breakages. Very reliable. Would highly recommend Shires to anybody.

Great service from the guys,very friendly and very efficient,they actually made the day stress free with their banter.
Also perfect at packing and stacking all your belongings from emptying one house and putting them in place at the next.

I used Shires Removal group during Lockdown and they were excellent. I found the prices very fair in comparison and the guys that moved me were brilliant. They made what was a very stressful move, both relaxed and easy with a can do manner! Thank you!

Excellent service and really respectful lads who moved our 5 bed house. Stayed late and helped when delays with completion. Helpful when you have young children and just need your stuff!

Cannot rate this company highly enough . Had to move at short notice the lady on the phone was absolutely brilliant,so helpful and friendly . They were bang on time and the two guys were fantastic . Had us loaded and unloaded in no time at all even helped us unpack our telly and get it out the box . Top service all round .

Customer services are rude and don't listen. After booking an 11.30 removal on a Friday customer services aggressively pushed for an earlier start time of 8.45. Their sole aim is to get as many hours throughout the day at £90 per hour on top of the initial first 4 hours at £450 paid upfront. This kind of practice should be banned.

Brilliant from start to finish. Stress free. Very friendly and hard working. No issues at the other end too. No damage. Highly recommended.

I expected more from a company that appears to have been around a long time. Generally the service was good when dealing with me at the start. But then when they had our money - things went downhill.

Overcharged from what they quoted me, such a vague pricing structure and one that means you are exposed to paying more than you are led to believe.

My advice is steer clear and go for a smaller company - confident to fix a price. It all looked good on paper, but a very different reality in the end.

I do not recommend.

Had a great house move using Shires Removals.
The team were polite, courteous, efficient and very professional.
We moved from a 3 storey town house with narrow stairs which meant that some furniture had to go out through the 1st floor French Windows and required balcony railings to be removed temporarily. This was dealt with efficiently and calmly and made what could have been a very stressful day into a relaxed experience.

Brilliant service. Totally professional company. We was dreading moving day and stressed but the lads were brilliant and everything went perfect and totally hassle and stress free. We've move a few times in the last 20 years and these are by far the best. Will use next time and recommended to anyone

Your driver smoking his head off whilst driving a works vehicle, not only is it illegal but would you want your belongings smelling of smoke?

Unfortunately a bad experience from this company. Quoted us a price which already seemed high to be honest, but we went with it. And then on the day they took such a long time to sort things out and ended up charging more. The company just isn't what we hoped for.

At the end of June I had to move at short notice after COVID delayed my house move and Brett and Sean from Shires Removal Group came to the rescue!! They came and did some packing and preparing the day before and were very efficient and made the move so much less stressful and easy! They worked so hard and didn’t stop for 9 hours on the day I moved despite the extremely hot day and occasionally thunder storm! I would really recommend Shires and Sean and Brett for anyone looking to move! :-)

Excellent service from start to finish . Everything loaded and unloaded quickly and personable staff. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 as estimate of belongings to move was slightly wrong which gave some doubt of fitting everything in the van .
