Ive just taken a 4 bike rack to Nepal and punished it on some of the most unimaginable terrain on the back of a Scorpio.

After destroying my kids bikes on a recent road trip holiday using a cheap rack and having to replace the bikes I decided to find a better way to transport our bikes to avoid this happening again. After plenty of research I decided on going with the shingle back lite and couldn’t be more happy with the investment. From assembling to loading the bikes it’s easy to see what a quality rack that shingle back off-road has produced. Super easy to use and looks like it’s built to last. Looking forward to many family road trips with our new purchase

The team shipped it quickly, so I didn't have to wait long. There was a broken strap button as a result of the shipping, but the Shingleback team sent a new button (and a cool hat!) the next day - super easy to deal with over the phone.

Not cheap, but worth it!

Once set up the rack is great. I have only used it a handful of times so far, so take this as an initial review.

The big wow as a negative is how complex it is to set up. A real mission, I had to go to the hardware stores and buy tools and this is something that could possibly be signposted clearly before buying? (If somebody offers like for like but includes tools or makes it far less of a mission to set up - they will win.)

But, I got stuck a few times setting it up and the legends at Shingle back answered the phone immediately and guided me through, so that wowed me; great job!!!

The key with winning when selling a product is clearly managing a client's expectations from the start. I say either include the tools with the rack or suggest what to buy and maybe organise a discount code with Bunnings or AMazon (affiliate) then when the rack is delivered clients are ready to assemble it.
