I am using Sherpa for my daughter for year 11 GCSE
English, chemistry and history and Maths
The good thing is that you read about the different teachers bio and how much they charge and then decide on who you want to select. You select your year and exam board.
You will have a free 20min introductory session and then you book a lesson when you want with the tutor, you can try a few tutors before you decide.
After every lesson you will get a link to the video of that lesson so you can always go back
Some of the teachers work in schools and some are examiners
It is up to you to select who you can afford.
They also send you reminders before each lessons

My daughter was failing GCSE combined sciences.
I had searched everywhere for tutors after her previous mock exam results and had introductions with many science tutors and tutors for other subjects before choosing Sherpa, who in my opinion, were the best providers and instructed Ismail C.
My daughter felt comfortable with him and understood perfectly how he explained the subjects.
He was set a task of getting her to a grade 4 in 3 months and he did it in 3 weeks!
She recieved a grade 4-4 in all 3 combined sciences in her recent mock exams.
Ismail absolutely lives up to his ratings! Not only that, he was flexible and very helpful when I was having financial difficulty paying for the tutoring for 5 subjects.
I cannot thank Sherpa and Ismail enough. Best decision I could have made and highly recommend this service and tutor.

I’ve had a great experience with this online tutoring company. I found a maths tutor very quickly and he is extremely knowledgeable and explain concepts clearly and patiently, making even difficult topics much easier to understand. They adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and really help build confidence.

The staff are equally excellent — friendly, organised, and always quick to respond to any questions or scheduling needs. Overall, it’s a very professional service with high-quality tutors and supportive staff. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for tutoring.

Very professional, patient and organised.

Absolutely awful company with no knowledge of tutoring as unprofessional. Dreadful experience as they looked at me as a customer not as a student. They have no teaching qualifications among the team that runs the sales. Like a factory setting with poor tutors as an easy target to live off with their thirty percent commission. The learners are just a customer and teachers a commodity. The ruthless higher management is probably the cause as look at companies house and their profits versus care and commitment to the tutors and students who are the most important people. I have fortunately found a privately run agency who do take care and have a lot of education as all the team are tutors as well. Do not go to these business Sherpa people as you will never have the best!

I wanted a tutor for my son, went online and found Sherpa, signed up easily and they answered my questions like can I cancel anytime etc... really happy with my choice.

Excellent platform and a great tutor (Chimson L.) Our daughter had pre-exam tutoring for English Language GCSE, and achieved an 8, her highest grade. We think this is likely 1-2 grades higher than she would have got without Chimson’s guidance.

The platform is easy to use, sessions are recorded, it’s easy to find documents shared, it all works really well. Very impressed, and using it again this year.

I have used Sherpa for my daughters to support them at both GCSE & A Level. The booking system is very user friendly and my daughters could log & join the lessons without any problems. It was also easy to communicate with the tutors who always responded quickly. We used 5 different tutors and found them all to be knowledgeable and supportive and above all gave my daughters the confidence they needed to achieve higher grades. Fantastic all around!

I've been with Sherpa for 2 years having taught for 30. I think it's great. Lots of flexibility, the technology is good and reliable. And they are developing and evolving all the time. Sherpa are very responsive. I even messaged them at the weekend to see if they would help a new student log in and Sherpa responded immediately and helped the student out in a matter of minutes. All good.

My daughter has had GCSE and A level tutoring via Sherpa and with the excellent support of the tutors achieved the required grades to pursue her dream course at University! Thank you Sherpa.

Booked a drama tutor, Greg , he suggested the day and agreed to the time for the introduction. My son waited for the half hour slot. NO SHOW. Got a text 90+ mins later that he was sorry for not attending and would be busy for the next few week.
Why bother to book it?? Waste of everyone’s time.
Nowhere to complain to Sherpa.
Will not recommend them or use them!!

Well, I have 10 years experience of teaching as a global Physics Teacher, with a great following in YouTube. They knew it from my application as well. Still called the interview, and then told me they cannot advance with it because I didnot have 2 years experience in UK! How rediculous! Everyone has limited time. Why did the call the interview in the first place? Also, there was no indication of 2 years experience criteria solely in UK!
